The power of crumbs

We know that Jesus did different kinds of miracles. He healed sick, resurrected dead, calmed storms and multiplied food, among others; And for all used different methods. Despite this, there are common denominators: he always used his word and showed compassion for the needy, with the exception of a case where we see him acting in a very particular way, which he even seemed indifferent. The important thing is to know that our faith must grow and accommodate what God will do, for he shall work as he wants and when he wants, but his blessing is assured.

The miracle that comes out of the ordinary by the attitude of Jesus is that of the Canaanite woman who begged her because she would free her daughter from the demon that tormented her. An important fact is that she was not Jewish, and at that time the Canaanites and the Jews did not get along. So we see that the disciples, contemptuously, ask Jesus to dismiss her. Is it possible that the Lord has despised her for being gentle, that is to say, being from another people? is unlikely, Since he preached about love and salvation for all, and demonstrated it on several occasions. So we can rule out that possibility. So why did Jesus behave that way? When we read we see that at first he ignored it; Then he said to him, "I am not sent but the children of Israel"; And when she fell to insist, she again received a negative answer, which might even sound offensive, as she said: "It's not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs." Then the extraordinary happened, she did not surrender, she was not discouraged by rejection! On the contrary, it seems that the refusal was like throwing firewood into the fire of his stubbornness for receiving the miracle for his daughter. So very intelligently, but at the same time humble, he responded to Jesus, even using the same example with which he had rejected her. He said, "but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from the table. What a great and powerful faith!

Would you be able to stand up from rejection and insist bravely, like her? Have you come to believe in such a way in the power of the Word of God and in his promises that no matter what happens, you fight to reach your blessing? Of course, this woman teaches us to insist. She is an example of fortitude and passion for getting what she craves and is according to the will of the father. He asked for something just, something that would provoke a good and that would be a good testament to the power of God, So there was no reason for him to be denied. In analyzing this scripture in the light of love capable of every sacrifice like that of Jesus, there is only the possibility that he would seek to bring the faith of this woman to the level enough to receive. It was not a lesson in persuasion and how we can convince God, it was a lesson in life for us to understand that obtaining miracles implies facing a process that leads to another level, perfects and prepares us to receive what we want.

No one likes to be ignored and rejected. What's more, we spent our lives trying to overcome those traumas and the pain of feeling that we didn't fit in or that they didn't accept us in a certain group or situation. Rejection affects our identity, marks us and determines our way of dealing with life. That's why it was so important for the Lord to teach us how to handle it, and this woman was the perfect example for it. We are all gentiles, we are foreigners who receive salvation by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. If we put it in context, we are those "dogs" whom we had to confront to discover our new identity as children of God. But achieving it requires humility, meekness and that "holy stubbornness" that motivates us to get what we are convinced we deserve, for the love that our Father has us. The Canaanite woman represents us all! We are those foreigners who cry out for a miracle, who need Jesus to deal with us so that our faith reaches the level necessary to see its wonders. He who does not insist, who does not strive, does not deserve to receive what he asks. If you really crave blessing, fight for it! And don't settle for silence and negative response.

Advancing to the level of faith appropriate to receive implies not wasting opportunities, however small they may seem. For example, if you want to be a successful entrepreneur, everything will start little by little. God will not send you a million dollars from heaven, he will open doors, sometimes they'll be small spaces, sometimes they will be bigger, it all depends on your disposition to receive. Even if you think that what you get is crumbs, Aprovéchalas!, because no blessing is small. To grow in character and faith we must be willing to fight for the crumbs. If we despise the small opportunities, if we are seated waiting for the great moment, it means that we still don't have the size enough for Jesus to tell us how he said to the Canaanite woman: "Be with you as you wish." If we prove to be faithful in the little, he will know that we are ready to receive in abundance. What are you waiting for?! Tell him you appreciate his love and sacrifice so much that you're willing to pick up the crumbs that fall from his table. When you kneel giving thanks for what you have received, you will have the faith to ask and to receive much more.

Sometimes we say that God does not listen to us, that he ignores us, but he speaks through his word and we despise it in search of the supernatural experience of hearing his voice. You treat the gospel like it's a crumb that's not worth it. Do you see how it is still necessary to grow in faith? Take the Bible, there is your food, the bread of life; Each verse is like a powerful crumb that sustains and guides you. Remember that what for some is waste to others is a miracle. Every day you see the grace of God in your life, Apréciala, be thankful and humble, so you will grow and reach the level of faith to see supernatural wonders. Tell the Lord: "Father, I surrender to you forever, I give you my life and I ask forgiveness for not valuing how much I have received from your hands. I know you still have more for me and I will not rest until I receive your overabundant blessings. "

Matthew 15:22-28 recounts: And behold a Canaanite woman who had left that region cried out, saying: Lord, son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is gravely tormented by a demon. But Jesus did not answer the word. Then he approached his disciples, begged him, saying, say, fire him, for he gives voices after us. Responding, he said: I am not sent but to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Then she came and fell before him, saying: Sir, help me! Answering him, he said: it is not right to take the bread of the children, and throw it to the dogs. And she said, ' Yes, Sir; But even the dogs eat of the crumbs that fall from the table of their masters. Then Jesus answered, said: O Woman, Great is thy faith; Be with you as you like. And his daughter was made up since that hour.
