KILLING THE TIME KILLER!
Welcome to my blog!
I visited a friend recently and I met him relaxed in his eternal lobby. When I asked what he was doing, he replied :
Oh just killing time.
That comment touched me and I thought of it for a long time! Of concern to us in today's post is the phrase, "killing time". God really wishes that you kill habits such as prayerlessness, anxiety, wrong and unproductive friendships, procrastination, missing church fellowship, financial disobedience, marital unfaithfulness, etc, and not a commodity as valuable as time. To a busy man, time is money. God has given every man on this planet the same 24 hours. Don't just use them! Invest them wisely, daily. It is not enough to do the right thing in the right way, but it must be done at the right time if we must reap the right reward of our labour. People, who kill time, work for others to eat. They may not be there when the reward arrives.
The popular Lord Nelson of Britain attributes all his success in life to his strick habit of punctuality. He said:
I have always been a quarter of an hour before my time, and it has made a man of me.
Time killers are usually comes to church or secular appointments late. There is one thing that is almost as sacred as the marriage relationship. That is an appointment! A man, who fails to meets his appointments unless he has a good reason, is practically a liar and the world treats him as such. Use your time to pray, read your Bible, witness to others, work in your local church, visit an absentee church member, visit the sick/distressed, etc. Use your "spare time" wisely. God does not believe in spare time. Every time is precious! Ephesian 5:16 declares:
Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Never ever forget this : >
Better late than never", is not half so good a quote as better never late
Time is a very valuable thing that we all dont have in luxury
we must make good and quick use of it
