STEEMCHURCH:Temptations haunt us
Hello, dear friends and brothers of the great family @steemchurch: Today I will share with you about the temptations that haunt us.
We can all be victims of the temptations of Satan, either from our own being or from outside the environment. The devil attacks you where you have weaknesses, at your weakest point. That is why the fight against temptations should be a priority in your life.
The important thing is to learn to overcome them, starting by not allowing yourself certain thoughts, going to places where you should not be and making decisions based on desires that lead you to temptation.
The truth is that there are endless ways in which we can be tempted by Satan.
¿What to do before temptations?
Let's reject it from the first moment they cross our mind, so as not to give it time to run forcibly because we immediately block any thought that might make us hesitate if we analyze it.
Reinforce your Christian values: love, obedience, solidarity, union, sincerity, understanding, fidelity, communication, trust, respect, responsibility and mutual help.
It is normal that, when the enemy realizes that you are a new son in God, try to put many traps in the way so that you incur faults.
That is why God gave you free will, the ability to choose between good and evil, the decision is in your hands, your choices, consider the consequences of your actions. Avoid the path of the world that leads you to temptation.
Proverbs 4: 14-15 tells us: "Do not enter the way of the wicked, nor go in the way of the wicked, let it go, do not go through it, get away from it, come in".
Oppose the Devil, as Jesus did.
Temptation of Jesus
(Mr. 1.12-13, Lk 4.1-13)
4 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, to be tempted by the devil.
2 And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.
3 And the tempter came to him and said to him, If you are the Son of God, say that these stones should become bread.
4 He answered and said: It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
5 Then the devil took him to the holy city, and placed him on the pinnacle of the temple,
6 and said to him: If you are Son of God, throw yourself down; for it is written, He will give his angels charge over you, and they will hold you in his hands, lest you stumble with your foot in stone.
7 Jesus said to him, It is written also, "You shall not tempt the Lord your God."
8 Again the devil took him to a very high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory,
9 And he said to him, All this I will give you, if you prostrate you will worship me.
10 Then Jesus said to him, "Go away, Satan, for it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'
11 The devil then left him; and behold, angels came and served him.
Do not ever forget that God loves you, that he has you in mind and will help you make wise decisions, so you must remain steadfast in his obedience and allow you to bear witness to it to help other brothers and sisters.
A big hug, I hope it is of interest, until the next post.
