How should a Christian dress?

Today in church, I disagreed with my pastors preaching on dressing, he even said any woman putting on trouser will go to hell fire, though I objected immediately, but you need to see the way the whole congregation looked at me like I've committed murder or treason, like I've committed the greatest offense one can imagine.
Deuteronomy 22:5 says "the woman should not wear that which belongs to a man and a man shouldn't wear that which belongs to a woman." but there is no where in the bible that specifies the particular clothes for a particular gender.

The question now is, how can we differentiate the men's wears from the women's wears?
Different group, different dressing habits, different culture. In the south southern part of Nigeria for example, their men tie wrappers to even very big occasions, Some Scottish wear skirts, some ladies due to the nature of their job are always taking bikes or some ladies who are doing jobs like mechanics, military woman, painting, palm wine tapping etc. are always putting on trousers, so are all these going to hell fire?

I was disgusted when I heard the story of a 'strong devoted Christian' girl refusing to put on trouser for her NYSC (National Youth Service Corps, is a one year compulsory serving of the country, first two weeks will be spent in camp doing military-like training and the remaining will be spent working), reason being that it's against her faith and she was sent away from camp, come to think of it, if you served after schooling, can one put on a skirt for the millitary-like training?
Will she ever be comfortable?
Will she ever be able to even do the least training?

These are some of the bible passages ways of dressing was spoken about

1.) Proverbs 31:25 "She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come."
Here, she can laugh at the days to come is kind of implying she'll be comfortable with herself, not that she can't do a particular thing because she'll not be at ease with herself by always trying to cover her skirt every now and then.

2.) Proverbs 11:22 "Like a gold ring in a pig's snout is a beautiful woman who shows no discretion."

3.) The most important is the inner beauty
1 Peter 3:2-5
"While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.
Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands"

4.) 1 Timothy 2:9-10
"In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works."

The dresses to be worn by any gender is determined by the tradition, society etc.
As a matter of fact, the female trouser is quiet different from the male trouser, you don't see a man putting on a woman's trouser and a woman putting on a man's trouser because they not only not fit, they will never be comfortable on them.

We really need to change our orientation on these things, we need to read our bibles always, we should always ask question, we should always question whatever we hear, we should also question our questions.
