The Law, If we look at the Old Testament, we will found out that it refers law as the Ten Commandments, all the rituals and morals obligations of the jews. The aim of the law was to enhance the people to attain righteousness. They used the law as an instrument of attaining the righteousness of God by their personal effort. On the other hand, It was not easy to be righteous by law because no one can obey the law. When one law is broken, the other acts of righteousness is void. So, no one can really attain righteousness before God by the law. The problem of achieving righteousness of God by keeping the law continued before the coming of Jesus Christ.
Grace is effortless grace or unmerited favour. It is given to us free, to all who believe. God grace answer the challenges of attaining His righteousness by the law. When we have faith in Christ Jesus, grace is sufficient to us. Through the grace of God, we are justified by faith before God. Our sinful past is forgiven, forgotten, because God has redemed us by taking our sin upon himself and nailed it on the cross. We are pardoned of our and are accepted by God.
St. Paul said that attaining righteousness by law only came and bring in increase in sin, but Where sin increases, God's grace became abundant. So, sin brought death, the grace of God came and reigns through righteousness to everlasting life in Jesus Christ. St. Paul let us to know when he was teaching on law and grace, Is that adhering to the law cannot give you salvation. The Law is a means to an end and not end it self. We should believe that through the grace of God we will live eternally with Jesus Christ in heaven.
