The devil is acting out God's script

The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against
the Lord, and against his Christ. For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus,
whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles,
and the people of Israel, were gathered together, For to do whatsoever thy
hand and thy counsel determined before to be done. And now, Lord, behold
their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may
speak thy word, By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and
wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. And when they had
prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they
were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with
boldness.
Acts 4:26- 31
As the disciples lifted up their voices unto God, they quoted Psalm 2: 2 in a bid to
reference a similar situation to what they were currently going through. Verse 4- 6 of the
Psalm states that the Lord laughs the heathen to scorn, rebukes them and terrifies
them in wrath. By inference, it is important that when we are going through a situation,
we need to look into God's word for scriptures that provide a reference situation of what
we are going through, so we can stand upon that Word in prayer. The bible states in
Romans 10: 17 that faith comes by hearing of God's word. The bible also states in
Hebrews 11: 6 that without faith it is impossible to please God. This is what the disciples
did by referencing Psalm 2. Unfortunately, we live in times where the average Christian
doesn't know the bible, we don't take time out to study the Word of God; by extension
we start lacking in our faith and the devil takes advantage of us through unbelief. It is
therefore important to develop a daily habit of studying God's word which activates faith
in us and which is required when we pray because God only responds to HIS word. As
the disciples continued in prayer, they employed a combination of other scriptures in
Matthew, Luke and John, stating how God allowed Herod, Pontius Pilate, the Gentiles
and the people of Israel who gathered together to do what HIS HAND and COUNSEL
had determined to be done to Jesus. This implies that it was God who determined what
Pontius Pilate and the rest of them purposed to do to Jesus; they were just “acting out
God's script”. This is also corroborated in John 7:30 which states that they sought to
take him but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come. This confirms that until God said it was time, they could not touch Jesus. It means that even if
they had set or employed the entirety of hell against him before his time, they would still
have failed. Therefore, no matter what you are going through, God has allowed it for a
purpose; hence any attack we are going through is CONTROLLED or FIXED by God.
The devil is just acting out God's script. With reference to our text, I believe that the
disciples definitely were convinced that it was God who allowed them to be arrested
because their arrest created a platform and opportunity for the gospel of Christ to be
preached to the High Priest, Captain of the temple and the Sadducees. Our text also
states that as they prayed the place was shaken. I believe that whatever happens in the
physical, stems from the spirit. With this in mind, I believe that for there to have been a
shaking physically, there must have been a shaking in the spirit. As you lift up your
voice, chains will be shaken off your hands, delay and setbacks will be shaken off your
destiny, failure will be shaken off your children in Jesus Name. I also believe that for the
place to have been shaken, God must have come down. As you pray today God will
visit you and anything in your life that is contrary to God's Word will be shaken off in
Jesus Name.
