Critique of John Lennon’s song IMAGINE
There are many things “wrong” with this atheist anthem. The kind of world Lennon envisions can only be achieved by the increase of “Holy People”. Let’s go over his mistakes together.
This is an ode to “Hedonism” which is the height of selfishness and pride. Hell is for Satan and his angels, not for us, and Heaven is a reward for our faith in Father God. With Heaven as our goal, we strive to do good out of love, in spite of our sufferings on Earth.
It is stupid, frankly, to have a huge world with no countries exemplifying diverse culture and traditions. It is the deception of the Elite evil-doers that foments wars. Religion means relating back to Father God, which is something we all need to search for at some point in our lives. All the people cannot live in peace without the Prince of Peace, Jesus, in our hearts. Once we believe in our Creator, that is when we feel peace in ourselves, individually.
To dream of a utopia is certainly a good thing to do! The only way we will be as one is when we have more people with Jesus to link us all together. We cannot achieve this wonder without reconciliation to Father God. In Christ there is Unity. As Jesus prayed, Father let them be one as You and I are one.
Duh! Of course, we must have possession of things. He appears to be talking about Communism where the State owns everything, including the people themselves. Greed and Hunger is a direct result of us not sharing out of the godly love in our hearts. We are already brothers and sisters. What we need to do is create systems for sharing the basics for living with the whole world; food, shelter, clothing and an abode. However, we cannot do it by giving money to the greedy aid organizations who steal it for themselves through corruption. We have to create helping organizations that are completely transparent and accountable for their use of our funds. It is the Elite controllers, again, that are standing in the way of our achieving this loving goal.
The crux of what Lennon did not understand is that our Father God is a “Holy” God. When we believe in Him by faith, we want to be like Him and allow Him, by the Holy Spirit, to clean up our lives, so that through this process, we too, become Holy. It is then that our godly love flows to others and affects the whole world. Lennon has the right sentiment, which is to dream and imagine this great result, but how he advises us to do it, without God, is a total error. I admit that the singing and music are great, but the message is clearly and totally, WRONG.

Just ask the Holy Spirit to help you while you watch your thoughts 24/7. And imagine, pun intended, that Daddy God is watching your life through your eyes and speak to Him constantly about what you are witnessing. At night, review your day with God and if at first you do not hear Him, continue to practice these exercises, and you will eventually learn to hear His Voice more clearly.
Perform these simple tasks and tell others and then we will see the world that Lennon Imagined!
