Use The Word To Deal With Your Anger

in #steemchurch6 years ago

Ephesians 4:26
KJV:Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

One of the beauties of God's words is it's practicability. You can practise the word in any area of your life, and it'll produce lasting results.
For example, our vocal verse that we just read: this should be something that you practise consciously. Some people are not easy to be entreated when they're angry; they cast off all restraints and even hold the grudge for a long time. Don't be that way; use the word to deal with anger.

Now allowing the sun ☀ to go down upon your wrath means if you are angry about something, you deal with it right away, that same day. Never find yourself still angry 😡 about the same thing for a protracted period. The Bible says anger dwells in the bosom of fools (Ecclesiastes 7:9) and you are not a fool.

Unrestrained anger is a satanic manipulation, you must not give room for it in your life. People who pander to such anger give opportunity for the demon of anger to take a hold of their minds. In walking 🚶 with the Lord, one of the things he seeks to accomplish is to have his love fully expressed through you, such that you're Meek, kind and not easily provoked. Nobody with b as d temper ever succeeds permanently in life.

Remember Moses, God testified of him to be the meekest man on the face of the earth 🌍 (Numbers 12:3). Nevertheless, when Moses yielded to anger, it cost him his ministry.

God had told him to speak to the rock to bring out water 💧 for the children of Israel (Numbers 20:8), but because he was angry at the stubbornness of the Israelites, Moses struck the rock twice. Water still came out, however, but God wasn't pleased (Numbers 20:11). He said to Moses, "for this reason you will not take the children of Israel into the promised Land"(Numbers 20:12). Moses was "fired" because of his anger.

Offences will come, according to the Bible 📖; people will do things that may hurt or offend you, but never allow anger provoke and make you react in a way that you'll regret just as what happened to Moses, if you don't want the same thing that happen to Moses to repeat in your life or happen to you then now is the right time to deal with your anger, How? By using the word to deal with anger.

Stay in the word and walk in love.
God bless you as you do according to his word.
