DIVINE MERCY!! (Part 1)

O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endures forever. Psalm 136:3

In the Psalms, mercy is referenced in two different verses. In the old and new testaments, mercy is referenced in 261 different verses. One of the most powerful prayer is "Have mercy on me". Divine Mercy is a mystery even the devil have not been able to decode. Mercy is love in action and grace in expression. God's mercy is His tender hearted, loving compassion for his people.

       WHAT IS DIVINE MERCY?

∆. Mercy means compassion that causes one to help the weak, the sick and the poor.
∆. Mercy is disposition of being kind and forgiving.
∆. Mercy is compassionate treatment.
∆. Mercy favors you without being qualifield, it qualifies you through discipline.
∆. Mercy can judge others for your sake and then judge you for its sake.
∆. Mercy fights for you though you are weak till you are strong.
∆. Mercy is a double edged sword.
∆. Mercy is a silence to sin.
∆. Mercy and grace are inseparable twins.
∆. Mercy is different from forgiveness because God is merciful even when you don't sin.
∆. Mercy eliminates the pain but grace cures the disease.
∆. Grace saves you but mercy sustains you.
∆. Mercy is not getting what I do deserve (With held punishment). Grace is getting what I don't deserve (unmerited favour).

∆. Mercy is gift given to the guilty
∆. Mercy is not found in a state of innocence.
∆. Mercy is favour to the undeserving and compassion for the miserable.
∆. Mercy can be found in a appeal or prayer.
∆. Mercy is the power that silence the voice of condemnation.
∆. Mercy is the kind, sympathetic and forgiving treatment of others that works to relieve their distress and cancel their debt.
∆. Mercy is compassion combined with forbearance and long-suffering .

     MYSTERY OF DIVINE MERCY!!

1. The mercy of God is great.
2. The mercy of God is rich.
3. The mercy of God is merciful.
4. The mercy of God is merciful.
5. The mercy of God is tender.
6. The mercy of God is manifested to them that fear Him. -Psalm 103:7

Conclusion: Our greatest need is mercy. We constantly need the mercy of God. We must see our needs of God's mercy. We must appeal to God's mercy. We must cry to God for mercy.
