Depression

Depression is a therapeutic term used to depict a specific dysfunctional behavior. However, what we call depression today really existed long prior and is even recorded in the scriptures.

The sacred writing above gives us King Solomon's ideal portrayal of depression. He calls it a "pounded soul." The New American Bible interpretation makes it considerably clearer: "An euphoric heart is the wellbeing of the body, but a discouraged soul goes away the bones." A "squashed soul" is a discouraged soul.

The NET Bible interpreters express that "'Crushed' is a representation for the possibility that one's mind or will to proceed is pounded by conditions." Imagine a dirt container that tumbles to the ground and is so smashed that it appears to be difficult to put the little sorts pull out. That is the photo of a pounded, discouraged soul. Conditions show up so sad that we start to feel like our life is hopeless.

But God is the Divine Potter that can assemble each and every broken bit of our apparently pounded lives. He is the reason why we ought to have a blissful, happy heart as opposed to a pulverized and discouraged soul. He is the delight and seek that dependably forms our lives after great!

For what reason do you think depression is on the ascent on an overall scale? Proclaim with a certain voice: "I have an euphoric heart as an offspring of God. I am secured by the Light as opposed to the haziness of depression that covers the earth." ( Isa. 60:2)
