What Does the Bible Say about Obedience and Disobedience

in #steemchurch7 years ago

Compliance is the viable acknowledgment of the expert and will of God. It incorporates both submitting to Him and afterward communicating that accommodation in activities, words and considerations. To be submissive is to be in concurrence with God. To be in concurrence with God is to be in a place of energy in Christ.

Defiance is caused by insubordination and doubt of God. To be defiant is to respect self-will as opposed to surrendering to God and wanting His will no matter what.

God expects dutifulness (Deuteronomy 11:26-28).

To pick Christ is to pick dutifulness (John 14:15,21).

To wind up insubordinate is to sin or revolutionary against God (I Samuel 15:22,23).

What Scripture Says

"It couldn't be any more obvious, I am setting before you today a gift and a revile - the gift in the event that you comply with the charges of the Lord your God that I am giving you today; the revile on the off chance that you defy the orders of the Lord your God and abandon the way that I summon you today by following different divine beings, which you have not known" (Deuteronomy 11:26-28).

"Be that as it may, Samuel answered: Does the Lord have a great time consumed offerings and forfeits as much as in complying with the voice of the Lord? To obey is superior to forfeit, and to regard is superior to the fat of rams. For insubordination resembles the transgression of divination, and haughtiness like the shrewdness of excessive admiration. Since you have rejected the expression of the Lord, he has rejected you as ruler" (I Samuel 15:22-23).

"In the event that you are eager and dutiful, you will eat the best from the land" (Isaiah 1:19).

"On the off chance that you cherish me, you will obey what I command....Whoever has my orders, and obeys them he is the person who adores me. He who cherishes me will be adored by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him" (John 14:15, John 14:21).

"For what reason do you call me, "Master, Lord, and don't do what I say?" (Luke 6:46)

"Don't just tune in to the word, thus misdirect yourselves. Do what it says" (James 1:22).

Instructions to Correct The Sin of Disobedience

The accompanying proposals should enable you to find regions of either think or intuitive rebellion to God and to those in expert over you. Start by asking yourself whether you are obeying God in various parts of your life, for example, individual connections, your conduct, God's lordship in your marriage or work or different territories, individual commitments, and so forth. Take a legitimate stock of your life.

Say thanks to God for territories of defiance you may find. Once distinguished, they can be evacuated. This will bring about new euphoria and more prominent confidence. "Furthermore, we realize that in everything God works for the benefit of the individuals who cherish him, who have been called by his motivation" (Romans 8:28). "Continually expressing gratefulness to God the Father for everything, for the sake of our Lord Jesus Christ" (Ephesians 5:20). "Express gratefulness in all conditions, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus" (I Thessalonians 5:18).

Admit the rebellion as transgression. Approach God for absolution and claim His guarantee of finish acquit. "On the off chance that we admit our wrongdoings, he is reliable and just and will pardon us our transgressions and decontaminate us from all wickedness" (I John 1:9). On the off chance that your demonstration of defiance includes other people who are in specialist over you, you should amend the circumstance with them. The Bible shows that we can and should inhabit peace with ourselves as well as other people. Defiance to God and those in expert over you can hinder the delight, favors and inward peace which God wants for you.

Utilize your will to give up every particular demonstration of insubordination. Impugn even the want to be rebellious. As Paul compelled, your fragile living creature and its soulishness to comply. The Bible says that as a Christian, you have forceful weapons of fighting which will separate dividers of noncompliance. Depend on the confidence of Jesus and the energy of the Holy Spirit.

Plan particular activities. Solicit absolution from others, offer some kind of reparation where required. "Be that as it may, the product of the Spirit is love, happiness, peace, tolerance, benevolence, goodness, loyalty, delicacy and discretion. Against such things there is no law" (Galatians 5:22,23). As every one of these characteristics creates in you, you will discover the transgression of rebellion blurring, as well as different sins too.

As You Pray

Ask that the product of the Spirit, devotion to God and other individuals, be delivered inside you.

Thank and acclaim God for uncovering your noncompliance to you and for giving you quietness (accommodation) and love for Him and others - even your adversaries. Cheer in your new flexibility and satisfaction in the Lord as you understand that you are free from subjugation of noncompliance.

Thanks for sharing this. Obedience and disobedience are like two distinct roads. One of the roads leads to a place that is beneficial, while the other leads to a sad place. There's a reward when we obey God willingly and not begrudgingly.

Obedience is the practical acceptance of the authority and will of God. It includes both submitting to Him and then expressing that submission in actions, words and thoughts. To be obedient is to be in agreement with God. To be in agreement with God is to be in a position of power in Christ.
Disobedience is caused by rebellion and distrust of God. To be disobedient is to yield to self-will instead of surrendering to God and desiring His will in all things.
In Isaiah 1 verse 19, "If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land"

The Book Of John chapter 14 vs 15 also speaks about obedience;

"If you love me, you will obey what I command....Whoever has my commands, and obeys them he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him"

#steemchurch keeps providing us with great content and writers..obedience is better than sacrifice

Obedience and disobedience are abstract, their blessings and consequences are rather uncanny, Samuel in the bible obeyed the word if God and he was bountifully blessed, on The other hand, Saul the king of Israel disobeyed The words of God, and he was stripped of kingship.

There is a huge difference and for our Christian journey, we need to be obedient to enjoy God's bountiful favours

We cannot afford the consequences of disobedience and obeying God is more important than anything that's why the bible says obedience is better than sacrifice. I really love the subject and everything about obedience @freedom12

If we look at the life of Abraham, we see that obedience to is all we need in this life, when we obey God's commandment he will bless us, save us, and also reshape our life.

I enjoyed this part "Thank and acclaim God for uncovering your noncompliance to you and for giving you quietness (accommodation) and love for Him and others - even your adversaries. Cheer in your new flexibility and satisfaction in the Lord as you understand that you are free from subjugation of noncompliance" thanks for sharing.

Let us understand how much of a difference do these words mean. It sure leads to different places. Obeying God has the greatest form of blessing. He's our father and we ought to obey.

God requires obedience from us just to do whatever he wants from us from the story of saul we should learn that obedience is far better than giving a sacrifice.
