WAIT ON THE LORD

My brethren,not been patient in the Lord has made many believers today think in themselves that God is not answering their prayers and that only prayer cannot solve their problems in life. This is far from the truth,many are tempted,in bondage or in some challenges and they are praying to God for victory but because of their impatience and not enduring, they run away from God to look for help elsewhere like fake prophets,herbalists, sorcerers etc and any help from these people cannot last but full of regrets and sadness. Psalm 16:4a says, "Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god"

Isaiah 31:1-3,

Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help;and stay on horses, and trust in chariots,because they are many; and in horsemen because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy one of Israel neither seek the Lord
Let he also is wise,and will bring evil,and will not call back his words:but will arise against the house of the evil doers,and against the help of them that work iniquity
Now the Egyptians are men, and not God;and their horses flesh,and not spirit. When the Lord shall stretch out his hand,both he that helpeth shall fall,and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.

This passage in Isaiah made us understand the dangers in looking for help elsewhere. Many because they can't wait upon the Lord for favour has fallen into the pit/bondage of Satan and making their problems bigger because they have gone to where their problems will escalate.
You can read Jeremiah 42:15-22, it tells us the truth about when God's time is the best. He knows when and how to turn things around for His children, there is nothing impossible for God to do(Luke 1:37) it may look as if God delay prayers but let it be known to you that God Himself knows what He will do and the time He will do it. John 6:1-6

This lack of patience with God has made many Christians lose hope in the power of God which cannot be compared to. Many have even gone away from God before their requests is granted and they lose it,such people will be going from one church to another as if Jesus is different in every churches. Let me tell you this that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever more, He is one everywhere, because of this reason, I urge you never to waste your time with changing of church as if it were clothes but with patience and endurance, wait for your joy to come,your victory, peace and blessing that will come from God with prayers and genuine faith in Him.

Abraham and his wife Sarai waited on the Lord with faith of the promise of God made for them, they saw the promise being fulfilled even though they were old,and of age but there is nothing God cannot do when the time come and when you never doubt your faith in Him. Gen 21:1-7
Also Hannah in 1 Samuel 1:1-20,she has patience and endurance waiting on the Lord for the fruit of the womb. Her rival would provoke her,mock her because of her inability to bear a child but she prayed to God with faith,she never get tired of praying and her service to God wasn't disturbed. She didn't go out for help because she knows man can fail

Look at how God gave both Hannah and Abraham with his wife children,not only children but great one because they waited on the Lord and He surprises them. These children were peaceful and gives joy to their parents because they are from God and this is a sign that whatever comes from God is permanent and add no sorrow to it.

God knows our life even than us,and many are the good things God has made down for us,but because we are in an hurry, these things eludes us. Please go back and wait for your creator and He will complete your victory in Jesus name. Amen

In conclusion, we see Job as a person who patiently waited on the Lord and was able to overcome all the problems Satan brought to him. Satan really dealt with him but because Job waited on God, he was vindicated.
