Mark 1:16-18
[16]Passing alongside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.
[17]And Jesus said to them, "Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men."
[18]And immediately they left their nets and followed him.
In this scriptures we see how Mark recorded, and reminding all us to come after Jesus Christ . But Simon and Andrew was fishing and the Bible says they left their nets and fellowed Christ Jesus .
Symbolically the net speaks of our physical strength ,effort, experiences, our old mind set etc. The bible teaches us to leave our old mind set and ideas, strength and experiences and follow Jesus Christ. When Simon and Andrew was fishing with their own ideas,strength,experiences,and old mind set they could not catch fish but Jesus gave them employment by making them Fisher of men . The idea of Jesus for men is fish men for the kingdom of God. The core point of Jesus is to evangelised to those who have not yet see the light. So let's do well to evangelised to other about Jesus Christ .
