Luke 9:48 KJV
And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me:...

I have always told folks that no matter what angle you view life, there are always two sides to it. Good or bad, true or false, Yes or No etcetera. It is therefore dignifying enough to know that it is only from these two options that answers to issues of life originates from, never a fence sitting. Even lukewarmnes is detasted by God.
On this premise i hope to address the subject above: the message or the messenger. Which of the two subjects above is more important? Which is without which? How do we deal with both together and individually? Between message and messenger which is more important? Luke 9:48 says; whoever shall receive this child in my name receive me...
More often than not we have missed messages from God and consequently accompanying miracles because we failed to acknowledge or see beyond the vessel the Lord is working or using to convey the message or perhaps working through to experience God's fulness. A wise fellow will give heed to the word of God...2Chro 20:20.
Interestingly, this mesaage is from the king and not even a prophet before someone will say he has come again. How beautiful the world would be if our kings admits that the most high rules in the affairs and kingdom of men (Dan 4:25-34)
In our text Jesus said even if it is a child that comes in his name and we received the child, we have received him and consequently received hia father who sent him . Don't forget we are still talking anout the message or the messenger.

Hey guys notwithstanding the age and or status, what is imperative to do is to receive he whom the Lord has sent. Reason: the word of God never falls to the ground (Isa 55:10-11). E.g Naaman would have lost his miracle if he hadn't looked beyond the fact that Elisha didnt receive him personally or the dirty water of River Jordan or even the little slave girl that told him about Elisha (2Kings 5:9-14).
What about the man born blind (John 5) beleived tbat Jesus came from God and because God performed a miracle in his life through Jesus, whether or notthe jews maligned Jesus as sinner was not a business to him and he refused to beleive tbe jews. Moreso because jesus grew in their midst, tbe citizens of Nazareth failed to see him otber than the son of the carpenter .
Matthew 13:58"... Jesus didnt do many ghty works because of their unbelief. "
The best way Jesus could help them was to encourage them to look into the scriptures to confirm what he was saying to them. Few ocassions He performed miracles anyway to show that He was the messiah. Unfortunately, alot just didnt see beyond hus humanity and they remained where they were.
See, looking at the messenger and seeing God behind them will help your faith in the infallible word of God.

Folks the message is bigger than the messenger and without the mesage there cant be a messenger. More importantly tbe sender of the messenger is bigger than the message and even the messenger, therefore the messenger is the greatest phenomenon.
