Dios los bendiga mi gente de steemit y @steemchurch, #celestialchallenge inciativa de @sirknight trata, me uno al tema de hoy "jueves-ForcesNature"
Today in force of nature I will speak of the TSUNAMIS, for me it is the most terrifying version of aggressiveness on the part of nature.
A tsunami is a complex event that involves a group of waves of high energy and variable size that can occur when an extraordinary phenomenon that vertically displaces a large body of water. This type of waves removes a quantity of water much higher than the surface waves produced by the wind. It is estimated that 90% of these phenomena are caused by earthquakes, in which case the most correct and precise name is "tectonic tsunamis"
As already mentioned, earthquakes are the great cause of tsunamis. For an earthquake to cause a tsunami, the seafloor must be moved abruptly in a vertical direction, so that the ocean is driven out of its normal equilibrium. When this immense mass of water tries to regain its equilibrium, the waves are generated. The size of the tsunami will be determined by the magnitude of the vertical deformation of the seafloor. Not all earthquakes generate tidal waves, but only those of considerable magnitude (first condition), which occur under the seabed (second condition) and which are capable of deforming it (third condition). While any ocean may experience a tsunami, it is more likely to occur in the Pacific Ocean, whose margins are more commonly the seat of earthquakes of considerable magnitude (especially the coasts of Chile, Peru and Japan). In addition, the type of fault that occurs between the Nazca plates and the South American plate, called failure of subduction, that is, that one plate slides under the other, makes more favorable the deformity of the seabed and, therefore, the emergence of the tsunamis.
TYPES OF TSUNAMIS
- Tectonic Tsunamis are characterized by having, in deep waters, a wave height close to the meter but wavelengths that can reach more than one hundred kilometers.
- Tsunamis of volcanic origin
- Megatsunamis the most powerful, since they contain a great energetic force, they move through the ocean at an extraordinary speed, reach very high altitudes and break several kilometers inland.
In relation to the appearance of these last mentioned tsunamis it is interesting to note that they can be triggered by eruptions, landslides or even by the impact caused by the fall of a meteorite.
Another fact worth noting is that the highest percentage of tsunamis (regardless of their classification and origin) occurs in the Pacific Ocean.
It is truly amazing to see the force of nature, it makes us feel indefensible, but it is good to REMEMBER THE STRENGTH OF GOD CAN NOT BE COMPAREED WITH THIS PHENOMENON OF NATURE.
God is powerful and there is none like him.
EXODUS 14:21
And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and Jehovah caused the sea to retreat by a strong east wind all that night; and he returned dry, and the waters were divided.
Then the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea, in the dry, having the waters as a wall on their right hand and on their left.
Dios les bendiga.
