Many of us at one time in our lives were abandoned, exiled and crippled by the blows of life, we believed that no one would remember us, that no one would have an act of mercy towards us, until the king of all mercy came to our lives, Jesus of Nazareth. Good in the bible appears a personage that just as we life throw him from the palace where he was born and lived as a prince to a place of abandonment and sadness, his name Mephibosheth son of Jonathan and grandson of King Saul, until the king arrived David and for his friend's sake had mercy on him.
And Jonathan the son of Saul had a son crippled with his feet. He was five years old when news of the death of Saul and Jonathan came from Jezreel, and his nurse took him and fled; and while he was running away hurriedly, the boy fell down and was lame. His name was Mephibosheth.2 Samuel 4: 4
Mephibosheth
In 2 Samuel 4: 4 he tells us the story of how Mephibosheth son of Jonathan was crippled at the time his nanny fled for their lives, upon hearing of the death of his father and King Saul. In many cases, the circumstances of life, whether due to our faults or those of our parents, hit us in such a way that we are crippled, not only physically but also spiritually, in such a way that it sends us to places of forgetfulness such as the one who fled the lullaby with Mephibosheth, lodebar.
• LODEBAR, means dry, hostile and dry land, where the grass does not grow, nor does the earth produce fruit. It was an inhospitable place where the indebted, the deprived, the persecuted, the abused, those beaten by life, took refuge; that they fell into disgrace like Mephibosheth, because someone, in some carelessness, let them fall.
Although we meet in Lodebar and think that no one will remember us, the king of glory, Jesus will always have the early help and the attitude of showing mercy to each one of us. This same love and mercy was represented with King David towards Mephibosheth. David, was a king according to the heart of God, who assumed the kingdom of Israel by divine mandate at the death of Saul, and represents the heart of God against the reality of Mephibosheth. David asked about Mephibosheth and sent him to search for Lodebar. The king's words to Mephibosheth were surprising:
"Do not be afraid, for I will deal kindly with you for the love of Jonathan your father, and I will restore all the land of Saul your father, and you will always eat at my table, as one of the king's sons"
MEFIBOSET could not believe it. Why would the king make mercy to a dead dog like me? The king declared to him: "It is out of love for your father Jonathan, for a pact of love and friendship made in our youth, before you were born and I saw your face, that I will make you merciful"
It was because of this pact that David had decided to bless Mephibosheth, not because of his merits, nor because of his dignity, but because of that pact of love he would change his destiny, live in the palace, restitute all the lands that had belonged to his family, He would sit at the king's table and eat like one of his children for the rest of his life. Hallelujah!. David, represents Jesus Christ the true KING, whose kingdom has no end, and whose love and compassion led him to die on a cross in a covenant of love, to remove all curse on this humanity, to undo all devil's work, and to restore every blessing of God on men.
John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it in abundance.
Jesus Christ, is the true King, who has sat on the throne of God to reign with power and authority, to bring on this earth true freedom, and restore the kingdom of God, his glory and blessing on all mankind.
The earth, which because of sin has become for many a LODEBAR, where many have become a MEFIBOSET because someone dropped them, suffering the disability of the soul, victimized and tied to a painful past that prevents them from living and serving with freedom.
But God made a covenant of love before you were born, before the world was, before they let you fall, and two thousand years ago on a cross he consummated it. He decided to save you, forgive you and bless you. Not because you deserve it, it was because of a Covenant of love.
But to all who received him, to those who believe in his name, he gave them power to become children of God;John 1:12
as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blemish before him,Ephesians 1: 4
You need to accept that you will never change your LODEBAR by yourself. There will be no merit or human effort that can free you. It is by faith, it is not by works so that no one can boast, it is by believing and accepting what the King has declared to you:
"Come to me ALL those who are worked and charged that I WILL MAKE YOU REST, and learn from me that I am meek and humble of heart and will find rest for your souls"
You must leave LODEBAR, you must come to the King's palace with humility, you must bow your face before his feet and confess that only he is King.
Satan and sin robbed you of your dignity, your identity, your position as a child of God.
Satan and sin robbed you of your relationship with your true Father, the privileges of living in his House and of sitting at your table as one of his children.
Get out of LODEBAR! do not conform to the generosity of "Maquir", that is not your true position.
Your true position is in Christ, in the palace of the King, seated in heavenly places, blessed with every blessing, as prince and heir of all his gifts, goods and benefits, enjoying his forgiveness, his consolation and salvation.
you who once were not a people, but who are now the people of God; that once you had not received mercy, but now you have obtained mercy.1 Peter 2:10
The King has promised to restore in your life all that the devil and life stole from the day they let you fall, and his blessing will reach your house and all your descendants,
"Do not be afraid, for truly I will show you mercy for my name's sake, I will restore you with all my goods, and you will sit with me and eat at my table as one of my children for all eternity"
LODEBAR SALT!
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people purchased by God, so that you may proclaim the virtues of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;1 Peter 2: 9
Because the king has not forgotten us, even though everyone has turned their backs on you, the king is thinking of you, the Lord has not turned his back on you, he has thoughts of blessing for our life despite our mistakes, despite of our falls.

God has formed this nation, this race, this priesthood to take possession of us. We are His people in a very real way. It's not just that we pledge our allegiance to Him; it's that He has taken ownership of us. We belong to Him.
