Divine Encounter
Encounter means to meet somebody or something usually unexpectedly. An encounter is an unexpected meeting; an unplanned meeting. Divine encounter therefore means man experiencing the power of the almighty suddenly. In Acts 16:25-26, the bible says, ‘and suddenly there was a great earthquake…’ Paul and Silas never expected that there would be any experienced it before in missionary journey. They were just doing what they knew how to do; they felt that since they could not help themselves out to the prison; the only thing left for them to do was to praise God. And as they were praising God; the Lord suddenly appeared and they had an encounter that made the earth to shake. To the reader of this write –up something good will suddenly happen in your life and in your family in Jesus Name.
In John 5:2-9, we see the story of a man who was in a terrible situation for 38 years. This man was on the same spot; He needed a divine intervention in his life. He was in the company of the people that could not help him. This sick man was not expecting anything from Jesus when Jesus approached him. He had lost all hope and there was on faith left in him and yet on the day that he encountered Jesus; He got a pleasant surprise. Before the end of this month, God will give you pleasant in Jesus name.
Divine encounter can either be positive or negative. If someone suddenly experiences the wrath or punishment of God that is also a divine Encounter but a negative one. An encounter therefore can also be defined as a ‘’hostile confrontation’’. It is violent meeting between God and his enemies. In ex 14:24-25, the host of Egypt had an encounter with man of war himself. When they least expected the almighty God met with them and dealt with them right in the middle of the Red sea. Every problem in your life that refuses to let you go will have almighty to contend with in Jesus name
What must I do to have a Divine Encounter?
You must have a relation with God. In Gen 28:11-16at Bethel Jacob had an encounter with God .for anyone to experience this encounter he or She must born again God has to be your father so that you would encounter him divinely, prayer is a spiritual exercise and it is only people that can engage in it. Until man is born again he can’t experience positive divine encounter, there must be a relationship with you and God to experience Divine encounter. There must be a link a connection between you and God.
