Jesus, my best friend!

Christ is our savior and is eternally faithful, He will supply all our needs.

12 This is my commandment, that you love one another, as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command you. 15 I no longer call you servants, for a servant does not know his master's business. But I have called you friends, because everything that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, fruit that will last, that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. 17 This I command you, that you should love one another.

John 15:12-17

Surely you, like me, know and often sing this well-known hymn that says "Oh, what a friend Christ is to us." We consider Jesus Christ as our best friend and we must also always keep in mind some aspects that stand out in his relationship with us.

Let us remember that our Lord Jesus Christ is intimately committed to us, not only for this present life, he is committed to us for all eternity and even though I am here on earth we have disappointments, he will never fail.

Jesus Christ is transparent at all times, he reveals himself more and more as we get to know him better, this implies that our love and fidelity increases more and more every day.

Jesus Christ knows everything that happens to us since he himself, being a man, suffered everything that we can suffer today and even what we cannot imagine, he is sensitive to our desires and our needs. He has the power and ability to satisfy all our desires and invites us to place our hope in Him by approaching Him with confidence and having a close relationship.

Let us remember that Our Lord Jesus Christ is comforting and listens to us in everything we present to Him. He never interrupts us and His ears are attentive to our voice, His heart is sensitive

to all our movements and even our thoughts, He knows exactly everything we think, say and do, He knows us.

Now we can ask ourselves the same question again: What kind of friend is Jesus Christ? We can find the answer when we read: that no one has greater love than this one who lays down his life for his friends. This has also been given on the cross of Calvary for all humanity and we as children of God, as followers of Christ can follow the example of offering our friendship to those people around us.
