El señor Jesus es nuestro mejor ejemplo de descanso. || The Lord Jesus is our best example of rest.

God, the creator of the heavens and the earth is always by our side, he always accompanies us so we should not fear what comes in our lives.

23 And he entered into the boat, and his disciples followed him. 24 And behold, a storm arose in the sea so great that the waves covered the boat; but he was sleeping. 25 And his disciples came and woke him up, saying, Lord, save us, for we are perishing! 26 He said to them: Why do you fear, you of little faith? Then, rising, he rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was great prosperity. 27 And the men marveled, saying, What man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him?

During Jesus Christ's time in this world he demonstrated how to develop and maintain a relationship with his father. Everything Jesus Christ did and said demonstrated his dependence on God, even when he at rest seemed illogically absurd to other people.

In today's painting we see the disciples crossing during a storm at sea in a small boat and at the same moment the Lord Jesus Christ was taking a nap, perhaps you have wondered what is wrong with this one who is sleeping At this moment, do they not see our need?

It seems that the disciples saw this situation of the Lord Jesus Christ, that is: rest as an indifference towards them, but the truth is that in some cases God does not respond immediately, what we must know is that all of this is for His glory in our lives. Moments later the Lord separated and intentionally used authority by ordering the waves and the wind to calm down, thus making the disciples witnesses of the power of the Lord Jesus Christ and thus they were surprised at the power of God.

This shows us the ability of the Lord Jesus Christ to surrender to the will of the Father, this is simply because of his absolute trust in the one who has all things under his control, God, even in the midst of the turbulent storm he reveals that trust absolute truth of God, is what the disciples witnessed and were invited to experience. Here a question arises: why be afraid when we know that the creator of everything that exists is under our care and on our side? Always remember that in times of difficulty and trials, reality can consume us and frighten us and that is normal but our sight must be on the fact that God always takes care of us.

23 Y entrando él en la barca, sus discípulos le siguieron. 24 Y he aquí que se levantó en el mar una tempestad tan grande que las olas cubrían la barca; pero él dormía. 25 Y vinieron sus discípulos y le despertaron, diciendo: ¡Señor, sálvanos, que perecemos! 26 Él les dijo: ¿Por qué teméis, hombres de poca fe? Entonces, levantándose, reprendió a los vientos y al mar; y se hizo grande bonanza. 27 Y los hombres se maravillaron, diciendo: ¿Qué hombre es este, que aun los vientos y el mar le obedecen?

Durante el tiempo que Jesucristo estuvo en este mundo demostró como desarrollar y mantener una relación con el padre. Todo lo que Jesucristo hacía y decía demostraba su dependencia de Dios, aún cuando descansado parecía algo ilógico absurdo para otras personas.

En el cuadro de hoy vemos a los discípulos cruzando durante una tormenta en el mar en una pequeña barca y en el mismo momento el señor Jesucristo estaba durmiendo una siesta, quizás se han preguntado ¿qué le pasa este que está durmiendo en este momento, acaso no ven nuestra necesidad?.

Pareciera que los discípulos vieron esta situación del señor Jesucristo, es decir: el descanso como una indiferencia hacia ellos, pero la verdad es que en algunos casos Dios no responde inmediatamente, lo que debemos saber es que todo eso es para su gloria en nuestras vidas. Momentos más tarde el señor separó e intencional mente utilizó la autoridad ordenando las olas y el viento que se calmen siendo así los discípulos testigos del poder del señor Jesucristo y así se sorprendieron del poder de Dios.

Esto nos demuestra la capacidad del señor Jesucristo de entregarse a la voluntad del padre, esto es simplemente por su absoluta confianza en quien tiene todas las cosas bajo su control, Dios, aún en medio de la tormenta turbulenta revela esa confianza absoluta de Dios, es lo que fueron testigos los discípulos e invitados a experimentar. Aquí surge una pregunta ¿por qué tener miedo cuando sabemos que el creador de todo lo que existe está bajo nuestro cuidado y de nuestro lado? Recuerde siempre que en momentos de dificultad y pruebas, la realidad puede consumirnos y atemorizarnos y eso es normal pero nuestra vista tiene que estar puesta en que Dios tiene cuidado de nosotros siempre.
