We have the assurance that by trusting in our Lord Jesus Christ we should not fear what will happen in the future.

Everything has its time, and everything desired under heaven has its time. 2 Time to be born, and time to die; time to plant, and time to uproot what is planted; 3 time to kill, and time to heal; time to destroy, and time to build; 4 time to cry, and time to laugh; time to mourn, and time to dance; 5 a time to scatter stones, and a time to gather stones; time to embrace, and time to refrain from embracing; 6 time to search, and time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to throw away; 7 a time to break, and a time to sew; time to be silent, and time to speak; 8 a time to love, and a time to hate; time of war, and time of peace. 9 What profit does he who works have from what he toils at?
10 I have seen the work that God has given to the sons of men to do. 11 He made everything beautiful in his time; and has put eternity in their hearts, without man being able to understand the work that God has done from the beginning to the end.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-11

Culturally we are experiencing a trend in greater health care, we look for new ways to stay better, we consume healthier foods, vitamins, exercises, etc. We look for strategies to live longer, this is extremely important but more important is to remember what the motivation is that drives this behavior.

16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

1 Corinthians 3:16

When we understand this truth, "Our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit", we understand the importance of taking care of our body. Care can arise in us due to the fear of death, the fear of dying for not taking care of our body, being afraid is not a sufficient motivation to reflect on this.

7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and self-control.

2 Timothy 1:7

Death should no longer be on our list of situations to fear, that matter has been resolved on the cross, let us leave the issue of death and get busy living, let us place our trust in the giver of life. Let us remember what the apostle Paul says about this imminent fact of death, it leads us to live a life forever with the Lord.

8 but we trust, and would rather be absent from the body, and present to the Lord.

2 Corinthians 5:8

It is important that by understanding the word of God we prepare ourselves, this is the first step to incorporate the truths of -Our Lord not only as savior, that we live a full life in the Lord, death is inevitable, let us enjoy this life that we will also enjoy eternal life.

Tenemos la seguridad de que al confiar en nuestro Señor Jesucristo no debemos temer a lo que suceda en el futuro.

10 Yo he visto el trabajo que Dios ha dado a los hijos de los hombres para que se ocupen en él. 11 Todo lo hizo hermoso en su tiempo; y ha puesto eternidad en el corazón de ellos, sin que alcance el hombre a entender la obra que ha hecho Dios desde el principio hasta el fin.

Eclesiastés 3:1-11

Culturalmente estamos viviendo una tendencia en un mayor cuidado de la salud, buscamos nuevas formas de mantenernos mejor, consumimos comidas mas l saludables, vitaminas, ejercicios, etc. Buscamos las estrategias para vivir mas tiempo, esto es sumamente importante pero mas importante es recordar cual es la motivación que impulsa este comportamiento.

16 ¿No sabéis que sois templo de Dios, y que el Espíritu de Dios mora en vosotros?

1 Corintios 3:16

Cuando entendemos esta verdad, "Nuestro cuerpo es templo del Espíritu Santo", entendemos la importancia del cuidado de nuestro cuerpo. Puede aflorar en nosotros el cuidado por el miedo a la muerte, el miedo a morir por no cuidar nuestro cuerpo, tener miedo no es una motivación suficiente para reflexionar acerca de esto.

7 Porque no nos ha dado Dios espíritu de cobardía, sino de poder, de amor y de dominio propio.

2 Timoteo 1:7

La muerte ya no debería estar en nuestra lista de situaciones a las que temer, ese asunto ha sido resuelto en la cruz, dejemos el tema de la muerte y ocupémonos de vivir, depositemos nuestra confianza en el dador de vida. Recordemos lo que dice el apóstol Pablo acerca de este hecho inminente de la muerte, esta nos lleva a vivir una vida para siempre con el Señor.

8 pero confiamos, y más quisiéramos estar ausentes del cuerpo, y presentes al Señor.

2 Corintios 5:8

Es importante que entendiendo la palabra de Dios nos preparemos, esto es el primer paso para incorporar las verdades de -Nuestro Señor no solo como salvador, que vivamos una vida plena en el Señor, la muerte es inevitable, disfrutemos esta vida que también disfrutaremos la vida eterna.
