The Power of Your Testimony

One thing the devil is after is what you carry and what will come out of your life(your testimony). He is not after anything but what you carry within you. The most important thing that will encourage you to serve God more is when you get a testimony- A reason to know and to trust Him more.

In 1 Samuel Chapter 1 the bible gives account of Hannah who had suffered severe intimidation and troubles due to her inability to give birth. Though the circumstances surrounding her situation was that God was the cause of her issue but the devil uses that to intimidate and to discourage her more. After praying and having a testimony she now sings a song:

Then Hannah prayed:

My heart exults in the LORD; my strength is increased by the LORD. I will open my mouth to speak against my enemies, because I rejoice in your deliverance. Indeed, there is no one holy like the LORD, indeed, there is no one besides you, there is no rock like our God. 1 Samuel 1:1-2

Now that her story was change she now changes her sorrowful prayers to prayer of thanksgiving and that's what happen when your story changes.

The devil doesn't want you to testify because when you testify:

It shames the him

The devil is always put to shame when God does great things in our life. In the plans of the devil he would have loved it if we remain the same and never get results, get a breakthrough so that we will be discouraged and our faith fails. The moment God changes the story is the moment he is put into a great shame.

It overcomes his works

We expose the weakness of the devil when we testify about what God can do and has done.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.( Rev.12:11)

Your testimony will empower others to have faith in Christ.

Now many of the Samaritans of that town believed in Jesus because the woman had testified, He told me everything I have ever done. So when the Samaritans came to Jesus, they asked him to stay with them, and he stayed there for two days. And many more believed because of what he said. They kept telling the woman, “It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, because now we have heard him ourselves, and we know that he really is the Savior of the world.John 4:39-42

It brings glory to God

Therefore the neighbors and those who previously had seen that he was [a]blind said, “Is not this he who sat and begged?”Some said, “This is he.” Others said, [b]“He is like him.”He said, “I am he.”Therefore they said to him, “How were your eyes opened?”He answered and said, “A Man called Jesus made clay and anointed my eyes and said to me, ‘Go to [c]the pool of Siloam and wash.’ So I went and washed, and I received sight.”
John 9:8-11

These are the reasons the devil will throw every weapon at you to stop you from testifying but in the name of Jesus I announce to you that it is your set time to testify about the goodness of God in life.

The other day the high priest tried to kill Lazarus who has been resurrected by Jesus Christ. They sought not after Jesus but after Lazarus whose life's testimony was affecting many lives.

When the large crowd of Jews realized that he was there, they came not only because of Jesus but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead. So the high priests planned to kill Lazarus, too, since he was the reason why so many of the Jews were leaving to believe in Jesus. John 12:9-11

The devil knows what your testimony will do to many lives and so will not stop until he succeed in hindering it but in the name of Jesus Christ i see you testifying and i see that your set time of testifying is now. If you believe it say AMEN!
