WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE?

Purpose is what you aim at,your ambition, aspiration,plans toward a particular thing. God has designed our lives in such a way that He wants to bring out the best from it. He created us for a purpose and He wants each of us to fulfill it. Your purpose is different from mine. As an individual, we need to identify the reason for our creation.

John 3:16,
"For God so loved the world,that He gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life."

God has sent Jesus Christ His son into the world for a purpose. His purpose is to come and die for the world and save them from perishing by evangelizing the word to them so that they can believe and have everlasting life. What then is your purpose?
The truth is that when you are doing another thing different from your purpose, you can never make it unless you switch to what God has called you for. A man whose purpose is to be a minister of God but went into business just because of money will end up looking for that money until he realizes his purpose and change to it. You have to discover your purpose today so that you will not end up regretting. When we all die not fulfilling our purpose, we will be judged. So in order for you not to be judged, you need to find your purpose by going to God.

There are many people in the Bible who had purpose and they fulfilled it.

• David (1Samuel 16:1-23)
  David was the last born of Jesse and was still small when God anoints him to be king. God didn't do it intentionally but for a purpose and the purpose was to deliver the children of Israel from their enemies. David was able to fulfill his purpose by conquering Goliath through the help of God

• Joseph (Genesis 37)
  Joseph,the son of Jacob was also created for a purpose. His race of fulfilling his purposes started from when he told his father and brothers the dream he had of becoming great and this made them jealous of him and was sold out and met himself in Potiphar's house. God was with him all through till he became the prime minister in the land. God kept him there for a purpose and it was to deliver his people from hunger

• The Hebrew men(Daniel 3)
  There Hebrew men had their own purpose and it is to make king Nebuchadnezzar know that there is God when they were thrown into the fire and were not burnt,and this makes the king feared God.

We all have our purpose, if not so,God wouldn't have created us. What is that purpose God has created you for? Identify it and start working on it.

What must you do to know God's purpose for your life?

• Read the word of God daily

• Pray to God to reveal your purpose

• Ask for guidance and grace to show you the way to go

• Obey and keep His commandments
