BRING UP YOUR CHILDREN THE RIGHT WAY

Most times, the devil is always after the glory of strong couples and ministries of the Lord.
Children are gifts from the Lord. They are products of union between a man and a woman. It is the plan of God to bless couples with children; and if for any reason you didn't have them now, the Lord will surely visit you and bless you with yours. As good as children are, they could also become tools in the hand of the devil if care is not taken.
Variously in scriptures, we ha e cases of great men whom children were wayward. For example, in 1 samuel 3:13-14 the Bible states concerning the children of Eli,
For i have told him that i will judge his house for ever for the iniquity which he knoweth; because his sons made themselves vile, and he restrained them not. And therefore I have sworn unto the house of Eli, that iniquity of Eli's house shall not be purged with sacrifice or offering for ever.
What an irony! Eli the prophet served the Lord, but his children were wayward. May that not be the portion of our children in Jesus name. That is the reason why all parents must pray against the power that derails children's destiny. The household of prophet samuel was not better. His children also became wayward and turned against the Lord.
And it came to pass, when samuel was old, that he made his sons judge over israel. Now the name of his firstborn was joel; and the name of his second, abijah: they judge in beer-sheba. And his sons walked not in his ways, but turned aside after lucre, and took bribes, and perverted judgement. Then all elders of israel gathered themselves together, and came to samuel unto ramah, and said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like the nations. 1 Samuel 18:1-5
Is it not surprising that most children of great men of God don't have time for God! Couples must take conscious steps to put their children on the path of the Lord. Let no one assume that the children will naturally do the right thing. Most times, the devil is always after the glory of the children of strong couples and ministers of the Lord. You must not allow him. You must effect correction and discipline as and when necessary. Remember that children that are not corrected will eventually bring shame.
Discipline your children while there is hope.
Otherwise you will ruin their lives. Proverbs 19:18.

The moulding phase of children should be handled with utmost care and attention.
Growing up as a Pastor's child people expected a lot from me. I had to be the model child for other children. My dad was and is still strict but, I chose to be who I am today.
As ministers of the gospel, we should not assume our children will make good decisions, just because they are Preachers kids. But, we should lead them alright, teach them and be involved in their everyday lives.

Well, I think there are lots of factors tied to raising up beautiful kids, whose ways are patterned by God's word. However, one of the reasons why most parents have failed unknowingly in this regard is IMBALANCE.
Sound ambiguous, right?
Yes, most parents get carried away by their jobs, ministry, occupations, carriers... (give it whatever name you want!) And they forget or become negligent about their parental duties to their kids. Eli was no exception.
In other words, life is about balance. And even God's word support it, when it days "Let your moderation be known to all men" (Philippians 4:5)

The devil always target the family because he knows that once he get hold and destroy a family....it will be easy to use them for his missions. We should learn to catch them young now....because if we fail now it will be very difficult later. Most importantly as God for His grace to raise extraordinally children

In all, we need to give all it takes to raise our children the right way, cos its our duty to do so and their right to be given proper spiritual guild.
Children are glory to come, if they arent prepared of what to come and build up in the right path, it will have effect negatively and might be of great disaster. Children are so sharp and therefore, we should also watch whatever we do in the midst of children, your actions might be relying messages to their life.
