The Mirror where you see yourself as God sees you/ Why do we look so much in the mirror?
Why do we look so much in the mirror? According to studies most of the time, it is to make sure we look good especially when we are going to meet with other people, we have an appointment or we just go out somewhere. If something looks bad, we want to notice it to fix it. Does not it make sense to look in the mirror if we do not want to accommodate something?
(James 1: 22-24) affirms us: "But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word but not a doer of it, he is similar to the man who considers his natural face in a mirror. Because he considers himself, and leaves, and then forgets what he was like. "
The best alternative is to look slowly and act according to what we see. Later, James declares: "But he who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres in it, not being a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, he will be blessed in what he does" (1:25).
It is useless to hear the word of God if we do nothing, we deceive ourselves. On the other hand when we examine ourselves, when we meditate on his word that reveals the truth and we obey his instructions, recognizing that we must die to appearances and lead a real life walking with the Lord, Jesus frees us from everything that prevents us from appearing every day more to Him
