We speak God's wisdom.

God bless my friends of steemit.

But we speak wisdom of God in mystery, the hidden wisdom that God predestined before the ages for our glory. "

We must be very clear in indicating that here it is not one of those mysteries that popularly speaking are like, for example, the enigmas, of a thriller. It is not a matter of reserved character or quality, which is done in secret, in private. The word mystery, as used in the Bible, refers to something that in the past had not been known, but was later revealed. This word "mystery" appears about 27 times in the New Testament. Our Lord used it when He said, in Matthew 13:11, "For it is given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven." And the parables that follow in that chapter 13 of Matthew are the so-called "parables of the mystery." And, why are these parables called like that? Because in them Jesus explained the course or direction that the kingdom was going to take in the interval between the days of the rejection of the King, and the moment in which He comes to establish His kingdom. That segment of the story was not really revealed in the Old Testament. God had not revealed it to men yet. When Jesus spoke those parables of the mystery of Matthew 13, he was revealing this truth for the first time. What had remained hidden previously, Jesus revealed it on that occasion.

Here in the Epistle to the Corinthians, Paul spoke of the "wisdom of God in mystery." That is something interesting because it is a word that comes from the Greek schools of philosophy, of the occult and science and Paul, appropriating it, said: "we speak wisdom of God in mystery". But he gave it a completely new meaning. Mystery comes from a word whose meaning is mouth, and means to keep your mouth closed, because there is something secret to hide. But the apostle Paul never used it that way. Rather it indicated that what had remained silent, at that time became a vocal expression, with audible sounds. That which had not been known and could not have been known through human research, at that time became known. And the mystery in the New Testament always means something that can not be discovered through the activity of the human intellect, but is revealed so that the human intellect can understand it.

When Paul said "we speak God's wisdom," he was saying "we have a philosophy." Now, it is not of this century, of this age, nor of this world, but it is the wisdom of God and that it is related to the cross of Christ.
