Leviticus 8: 30-36

8:30 And Moses took of the anointing oil, and of the blood that was upon the altar, and sprinkled it on Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon the garments of his sons with him; and sanctified Aaron and his garments, and his sons and the garments of his sons with him.
8:31 And Moses said unto Aaron and to his sons, Shewed the flesh at the door of the tent of meeting; and eat it there with the bread that is in the basket of the consecrations, as I have commanded, saying, Aaron and his sons shall eat it.
8:32 And what is of flesh and of bread, you shall burn with fire.
8:33 You shall not go out of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation in seven days, until the day of your consecration is fulfilled; for you will be consecrated for seven days.
8:34 As it was done today, the LORD commanded to make atonement for you.
8:35 At the door, therefore, of the tabernacle of the congregation, you shall be day and night for seven days, and keep the ordinance before the Lord, that you die not; because that's what I've been sent.
8:36 And Aaron and his sons did all that the LORD commanded by Moses.

The spilling of oil and blood (8: 30-32)

Through the priestly anointing of Aaron and his children, God teaches that we will never be able to fulfill God's ministry with human righteousness and strength. Moses takes the anointing oil and blood on the altar, sprinkles it on Aaron and on the garments of his sons to sanctify them. The shedding of blood and oil symbolizes the sanctity and consecration of the priest. Aaron and his children boil the meat at the door of the tabernacle and eat it with the bread of the consecrations. Sharing food before God implies the establishment of covenant and peace. This reminds us of the Holy Supper. The meat and bread left over will be burned to avoid contamination. Christians should remember that only those who have fellowship with God can work in their work.

Have I ever failed to try to do something with my strength and justice? By participating in the holy supper, do I thank Jesus for His grace that reconciled me to God?

The consecration for seven days (8: 33-36)

God receives us the service or the ministry of the believer who has lost holiness. The consecration for seven days teaches us the highest level of holiness that the minister of God should have. Aaron and his children are consecrated with this ceremony for seven days. It is a time for you to examine and consecrate your life completely to God. For seven days, Aaron and his children do not leave the door of the meeting tabernacle. They should concentrate only on the ministry and call of God. Without thinking or doing any work of the world. They receive the expiation of their sins through the offering of sacrifice. If they do not comply with the ordinances of seven days of consecration, they will die. The priesthood is very glorious, but at the same time, it is assumed with fear of God. The Christian must fulfill his call with an attitude of obedience and consecration.

Do I look for God every day at the same time, with the desire to reach a pure and sanctified life? Do I fulfill the ministry of God with an attitude of fear and trembling?
