Why

Farther Along

  Tempted and tried we're oft made to wonder
  Why it should be thus all the day long
  While there are others living about us
  Never molested though in the wrong
  Farther along we'll know all about it
  Farther along we'll understand why
  Cheer up my brother live in the sunshine
  We'll understand it all by and by
  When death has come and taken our loved.   
  ones
  It leaves our home so lonely and dreadly       
  And then do we wonder why others prosper
  Living so wicked year after year
  When we see Jesus coming in glory
  When he comes down from his home in the        
  sky
  Then we shall meet him in that bright          
  mansion
  We'll understand it all by and by
  Farther along we'll know all about it
  Farther along we'll understand why
  Cheer up my brother live in the sunshine
   We'll understand it all by and by
   Yeah we'll understand it all by and by

I bowed my head as the choir sang this during the burial ceremony of a friend's mum, bowing there i was deep in thought... Was she really going to understand it all by and by, will she be able to handle it all, was she ever going to be cheered up knowing she'll see her mum again at the feet of Jesus?

So many times we feel sad and downcasted when we loose a loved one and our only hope is knowing that soon and very soon we'll see them again in Glory , the Bible makes us to understand this.
Psalm 116:15: “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.”

The words of the psalmist are amazing, this tells us that rather than mourn we should be Happy because God Himself is Happy that a Saint has come Home to rest ..

      "When death has come and taken our loved 
         ones
         It leaves our home so lonely and drear
         And then do we wonder why others 
         prosper
         Living so wicked year after year"

This verse of the song left me wondering why...
