Good morning, Dear Steemians, I have the honor to participate in the Biodiversity Challenge initiated by @thegreens to raise awareness of the Biodiversity Day that will be celebrated in May 22, 2021 My favorite plant is called Common coleus, also known as painted nettle or coleus blumei

I chose this plant as my favorite plant because, as the name suggests, it is a symbol of love expressing innocence and despair. Legend has it that it has seven leaves, and the color of each leaf is different. Seven colors of light are emitted from the darkness, just like pearls in the night. It is said that the colorful leafy grass is spiritual, and only a pure soul can possess it. It can shine and bring you happiness. Or on the contrary, they will fade.

Common coleus prefers bright but indirect sunlight. Places with partial shadows are very suitable for plant growth. Plants with shed leaves indicate too little sunlight or too cold. If you plant ordinary Coleus indoors, please avoid placing it in a sunny place in summer to avoid burning. In winter, a sunny place is more suitable.

Common Coleus is a flowering plant in the mint family. Common Coleus is characterized by its colorful leaves, which can be a combination of green, yellow or red. It is a popular plant in gardens and indoor plants. It is not difficult to grow and take care of.
