My First STEEMBAY Auction [New Drawing]
Dear friends,
I was very excited to read about the availability of the new #steembay service today. Basically it's an auction bot, which makes it very easy to sell something to the highest SBD bidder.
The proof is in the pudding
To test things out, I just made the following drawing, which I'm willing to ship to the highest bidder after 7 days.
The drawing is made using permanent marker on ribbed 90g paper and has a size of DIN A4 (8,27x11,69 in).
I made the signature on the backside, as you can see to the left.
Auction process
When you want to bid for this drawing, you have to comment with bid + the amount you're willing to pay. As I will pay for the shipping, I will set the starting price to 3 SBD, so please make sure, that your bid is higher than that.
After the end of the auction you must be willing to provide me your shipping address. I'd suggest, that you contact me on steemit.chat (@shortcut) to do so. I will then send the drawing to you and you pay me the SBDs of your winning bid, after you received the drawing.
Thanks a lot to @pollux.one and @schererf for making this project real :-)
Good luck with the bidding and have fun!
P.S.: Payout declined, so there is no need to vote.
Thank you for using #steembay. This is an automatic auction, that will moderate your sale. The auction will start as soon as you upvote this comment and set a starting price with a comment.

Wow!
I need a piece to add to my STEEM gallery ;)
That's pretty cool :-) I also own a small collection of Steemit-Art, which I placed in my home-office and I would feel very honored to become part of yours!

Sorry can't afford to overbid that :)
Anyway, thanks a lot for your bid, David! Maybe next time...
Welcome, thank you for your support with delegation :)
Hope so :) keep that art coming :)
By the way: You should definitely consider selling some of your photos through #steembay :-) I'd be interested.
I wish i had time, too busy with my startup right not, to make prints, and take care of deliveries... Maybe some day if i get back full time to photography :) Would be nice to run a small individual business like that i think :)
Do people even buy prints nowadays?
I'd definitely buy a signed print from you. Maybe you can integrate Steembay in Bescouted one day.

Wow, this drove home how potentially awesome this could be. Hope we get a UI at some point.
working on it...
will be probably a downloadable application, no homepage, only posting key needed.
I am thinking about a sorting system, no limitation on the tags used, on-system storage of remembered items + a possibility to blacklist / limit people who are voting (e.g. minimum SBD holdings, minimum reputation etc.)
Glad you like it ;-)
Yes! I'm also pretty much amazed, how this is picking up pace :-) A steembay-app would make it just perfect.
Totally agree though I'm currently encouraging people to think bigger with their naming conventions. Steembay is too limiting, now "dbay" on the other hand ... ;)
Good point. Using the word "bay" in any auction related service might cause some legal issues. The guys creating "openbazaar" did quite well in creating a brand. Maybe something like "auct-chain" will do ;-)
"bay" is a word, you can't trademark it. No one uses openbazaar and auct-chain is again too niche. "dbay" is how I would go. It piggybacks off of their brand without violating their IP.
Appreciate your feedback on this and I'm not a lawyer, but doing a quick research on "Trademark Laws" tells me, that I should avoid choosing a name which is too similar to an existing brand.

Awesome! Been away from steemit for just a day and then this happened :D
I think I'm going to try this out too!
And I would've bid, but it's already out of my league, good job & good luck!
Thanks Maarten, I appreciate your intention to vote on my drawing.
The new auction tool is really awesome and I'm even a bit suprised, how well this first auction works.
You should definitely give it a try!
This is very cool. Maybe there could be a trust level system. Like if anything goes well ( delivery sent and received + money sent) both participant of the final deal gain +1 trust.
That's a real good idea. Until now, the only way to trust eachother is by Steemit reputation. I will tell the developers about your proposal.
Cool!
THX for using this service! I love that you like it and actually are USING it...
Thank you for the idea and @scheref for realizing it!
Also many thanks for your bid.
you have done this, but still not find which thing should i made foe auction.
I don't now, but you could sell a postcard from your hometown, some cool stickers, incense sticks, soap...
