RE: Steem Basic Income - Member Upvotes Drive Sustainability (25 May 2018)
Check out thier data section of this sheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vRhhnY8couo1lPKsOBLvwS1hfvVAlB6SrhAHWiM3qXOVep_AUenh97SyPAsMCBWH26HgCOrclNl31BZ/pubhtml#
It hasthe latest frequency data in it.
Bonus shares are based on 28 days so it may take some time to get 100%.
As regards to you voting persentage as the pool fills up with more members the sp also goes up. This increase in sp is apart of your percentage calculation. So ecen if your percentage stays the same the voting weight behind it has increased.
I have had added several shares in the past and my percentage has still decreased.
The biggest thing killing the roi at the moment is the drop in steem price. Howver i see this as a good opportunity to buy.
I have to confess I understand a very little to these data and whole shebang ...LoL..;I just basically trust there are people that know what they are doing and are well-meaning...
Thanks a lot for your trying to explain something to me @andrewharland ! ^_^
@andrewharland is correct, the % is holding steady because your growth is in line with the overall growth in the pool. But the SP backing that % is growing. 1% upvote from 25k SP is the same as 10% upvote from 2500 SP.
Another way you could look at it is that if your shares weren't increasing on pace with the pool, you might eventually drop below 0.50% and move into pool 2 where you would get a higher % upvote but from lower SP, so actual weekly value would be close to the same. (About 5% lower on average.)
Oooh...ok, thanks for the explanation @sbi4 ! ^_^
