Community Foundation Structure Proposal Election - Final Deadline To Vote Is April 24th
We are in the final week of the election process for the community to decide which Foundation Structure Idea they prefer. This will help guide the actual building of the foundation to show what the community wants it to look like, what it should do, and how it should be set up.
THIS IS NOT FOR LEADERSHIP OF THE FOUNDATION, only the idea of the structure of the community foundation itself.

Foundation Structure Process Overview
There has been much confusion during this process, which considering how it all came to be, is understandable. So to hopefully help with that, we wanted to take a moment to explain where we are in this process and what will be the possible next steps.
What do we want to build?
We want to build some sort of community "foundation", but we need to decide what kind.
- This process so far as been for the community to bring forward ideas of what kind of foundation they feel should be built (the proposal process), and now the community is showing which of those they prefer (current election).
What's next?
Once we, as the community, know what we want to build we have to then figure out how to build it.
After the community has given consensus on the structure idea they prefer, then based on that direction it will actually have to be built.
This is when many legalities will have to be figured out, and what sort of budget will be needed to implement these things. (Steemit Inc. has offered to help with this process, if wanted).
What about the Leadership?
Depending on the proposal chosen, and the decisions put forward by those involved, some sort of leadership (unless no leadership is included) will be selected.
How leadership will be chosen varies depending on the structure proposals at hand, but most include some sort of community election to select this leadership.
Once a structure proposal idea has been chosen by the community, this part will become a bit more clear.
Please see each proposal before voting though, to get an idea of how they are proposing the leadership (if there is any) should be chosen.
Steemit Inc.'s Involvement
While Steemit Inc. is not needed to build a community foundation, as anyone here is free to build one without their involvement, they are the ones that came forward to suggest this specific foundation and wanted it to be a venture between themselves and the community.
They have committed to possibly help seed fund this foundation, and work hand in hand with the community to establish something that will benefit the whole Steem ecosystem. So far they have left all decisions to the community, as they want this to be the community's foundation. Their future involvement will depend on what proposal idea is chosen and what is needed to make this foundation successful, as well as their financial involvement.

"People Survive By Supporting Each Other" Submitted by @TheHive
Investment of Steem in FIAT industry is what will bring an assurancce of the demand for Steem. Creating industry and a chain owned (not privately owned) company in the FAT world providing local services provides an opportunity to have Steem used in a concentrated environment. As opposed to being used across continents. Growing hubs or localities that later can join and support each other. The growth of the Chain and the benefits of using it get amplified with compound growth over time, Reducing the reliance on and the influence of entities outside of the Chain. Let's Build it together.

How To Ensure Fairness
The goal of this group from the beginning has been to be transparent, fair and accountable to the community. ALL transcripts from the inception can be found on chain and/or within The Steem Alliance Discord Server. There are no closed rooms, it all can be seen right there.
Due to feedback we have received we want to ensure this election has another level of transparency and accountability.
The election will have open audit logs (just like the working group election did) and will be released (just like before).
We ask that each Proposal Team form a group to review the election audits, as well as anyone from the community as well. This way there will be multiple eyes on the results, reviewing and ensuring fairness is achieved.
This election will be decided by the community vote, not the working group.
- The community will decide.
- In case of tie, there will be a run off election.
The working group (or anyone involved in the proposals) will vote just like everyone else. Their vote will be weighed based on the method detailed above. This is a community election.
Open audits will be available, we hope many groups step up to review them.

What is the Steem Alliance?
The Steem Alliance is an idea of a community coming together to build a foundation with the collective goal of improving Steem as a whole.
The goal of this future foundation is to be the combined “face of the chain”, working alongside additional groups as well as Steemit Inc. to better the Steem platform together. With a main focus on helping to push Steem into the mainstream arena with focus on marketing, upkeep of Steemit.com, development of steemd, outreach and Steem events. Funding would need to be fundraising/profit based but also with large seed from Steemit Inc. itself.
The goal of this Working Group is to oversee the establishment of the future foundation while ensuring transparency, fairness and that the community's voice is heard. Once the foundation is established, Working Group is disbanded.
No, by the few people who have invest the most in Steem. In a community, each man and woman has the same power.

Actually the filters on dpoll show the opposite, maybe have a look.
The community includes all users here, whether they own small stake or large, and all members of the community have been involved in this whole process.
If you don’t like the process, fair enough.. but we are on a DPoS blockchain 🙂 and every single member of this community has had the opportunity to have their voices heard in every stage of this process.
Have a great day!
Dpoll shows that "Merger" is going to win with 144 votes. Out of 500 000 active users in April.

I don't call this a fair election or a community vote. Why people should vote when they know that their vote has almost no weight ? and that the rules can change at any times during the election.
Monsieur Chrisaiki, 500 000 active users and 144 votes?
Please, deal with reality or reality will deal with you.
What does it mean? 144 votes out of 500 000 active users?
