Steem Withdrawal

in #steem5 years ago (edited)

Since Blocktrades.us stopped supporting conversion of STEEM to BTC or ETH from their website. Some community members had asked questions on how they can withdraw their STEEM token.

This is a simple guide on how to use Steem Engine to withdraw money from your steem account.

Steps to withdraw STEEM:

  • Login to steem-engine.com website using your steem account. Always use POSTING KEY as a habit.
  • Click on Wallet to start withdrawing steem.
  • Click on Deposit, in Deposit Token make sure you selected STEEM, then click GET DEPOSIT INFO.

  • In the DEPOSIT AMOUNT, enter the amount of STEEM you want to deposit and it will be converted to STEEM pegged (STEEMP). When ready, click on DEPOSIT STEEM to proceed. It will prompt you to enter your ACTIVE KEY to authorize a deposit.
  • Wait for 3 seconds, refresh your WALLET to check your STEEMP deposit. You will use STEEMP to buy HIVEP.
  • Click MARKET to find the HIVEP. If you can’t find it, use this link https://steem-engine.com/?p=market&t=HIVEP
  • Now let’s buy HIVEP. Click on the “Lowest Ask” for the Price, then enter the Quantity of HIVEP that you want to buy.
  • Click on Buy HIVEP if everything is ok. It will prompt you to enter your ACTIVE KEY to authorize your transaction. Wait for 3 seconds, refresh your WALLET to check if your HIVEP is listed. If you see it, then you can withdraw this for HIVE.
  • Click WITHDRAW to begin. Enter the WITHDRAW AMOUNT and enter your WITHDRAW ADDRESS this is your hive account.
  • Check and review, click WITHDRAW HIVE to proceed. It will prompt you to enter your ACTIVE KEY to authorize your transaction.
  • Wait for 3 seconds, login to your hive account and check your deposit.

After converting your STEEM to HIVE, now you can use Blocktrades.us website to convert your HIVE to BTC or ETH.

I hope this helps you.

Stay safe,
@Yehey

Are there any fees associated with this technique?

While not having done this myself (yet), from what I have read @novacadian, there is a 1% fee associated with both the deposits and withdrawals (you reference to this in the images displayed).

Another alternative I have seen is SteemScan, which I am considering. Wish they would let us know which exchange they have uhhh ... "partnered" with ... Poloneix?

Finally getting my powerdowns showing up as Steem, I have to get this figured out at some point ...

Thanks Rob. Have been using Poloneix up to now. There seems to be a nice 2500 satoshi spike that happens there at least weekly in case you are so inclined. My habit has been to put a sell order at that price and sit back and wait. ✌️😎

Thanks for sharing that info @novacadian. Beyond it being Sun's exchange, I live in a "Restricted Territory," i.e. the United States of America, so I cannot legally use that exchange ...😉

We are on the same boat. Steem engine is a fair alternative for now.

... i.e. the United States of America, so I cannot legally use that exchange...

Ouch, had no idea. 🤨

I checked SteemScan but I don’t know the operator so I didn’t try it yet. Let us know what you find out.

Well @yehey, my experience with SteemScan was a disaster, although I take responsibility for allowing myself to be distracted and not checking the details. Before it was too late ...

P.S. FYI @novacadian ...

Thank you for letting me know. For now, I will stick to the one I know and safe. :)

Yes a very small fee, believe me it won’t hurt.

Out of curiousity @yehey, what is your experience with trading volumes on Steem Engine? I figured I could live with the fees, but this has been my hesitation up until now. The likelihood of very low trading volumes ...

P.S. I guess you can do something similar with Hive Engine, but I doubt this changes the trading volume question ...

Always a smooth process. My personal tip, I always check the market place if the buying of STEEM is acceptable and have enough funds to withdraw large volume. So far no issue.

Okay, thank you for letting me know @yehey and providing the benefit of your experience!

Thank you very much, for having voted for my post and thank you very much for having published this post, since it has been extremely difficult for me to understand how to withdraw my steem engine tokens. Maybe it is very simple but I have not managed to get along with that system.

Practice it with small account till you get done.

Thank you @yehey, I'l try.

@yehey, Keep up with this Community Information Work. Hope that this Tutorial will help effective number of users.

There is another service, I always use this..

Gracias amigo por la información

Pretty new to me. Have been sleeping, probably, for the last 7 - 8 years. But, interesting! New to Steemit and D.tube, after watching videos of the Dollar Vigilante, speaking about D.tube positive. Thought, give it a go. Nothing to loose! YouTube has become difficult. Censorship, deletion of videos etc.
Here I am. Here I go. Let see if my time is useful here. An not yet speaking of possible earnings, but of publishing, without censorship.
