Building a Golf Economy to accommodate Golf with STEEM

The Networking effects of Steem are incredible.

It's a network for people. All people. It's easy and it's becoming even easier to sign up and participate.

There's tremendous potential for new applications to run on top of the Steem Blockchain. With this in mind, Smart Media Tokens will function as drivers of added value to the Steem Ecosystem. Steem will increasingly function as the reserve currency for the ever expanding Steem Universe...aka...Steem Blockchain Ecosystem.

With the above considerations in mind:

Structuring community around golf makes sense. Many people play golf throughout the world. It's an elite sport for sure. Historically that has meant that many people on the planet have not been included or considered eligible for this elite game due to financial status. It's been a rich man's game.

What if there was a way to expand the Riches of the Game - arguably the greatest game on earth. Slight Biases on my part about Golf being the Greatest Game. There's definitely a lot of great games. And it's not really a debate or an argument...because well - we are fortunate in knowing of so many great games.

The point is this:

With a well structured business model. Golf can function as an accommodating game for many. The way in which golf is funded, supported can be for the best benefit of all those interested in playing this great game.

A world tour that is available for anyone and everyone. It is disruptive to the model of exclusivity. By creating an all inclusive model - everybody is able to play...be a player here.

Much detail and research goes into the logistics of such a proposition.

Brainstorming on the point, The thinking currently is like this:

Purchase of Golf Courses Around the world. North America, Europe, Asia, and beyond. Ideally it would be nice to start out with several Golf Courses...say 6....that act as Hubs for the Network. Can also be referred to as "playing facilities".

The playing facilities would be renovated to support much "living accommodation". Many Residences. Houses and Apartments. A variety of architectural designs.

The idea with leveraging the real estate potential of the Gold "playing facilities" is to recognize the need to support and accommodate as many community members as possible.

In terms of cost - there is much research and organization required.

Initial thinking is like this:

Memberships.

Memberships have privileges. Including access to all 'playing facilities' and accommodations.

Included within the accommodations would ideally be top of line food and restaurants. Golf courses have a tremendous ability to cultivate and harvest premium produce. It only makes sense to leverage the growth potential and scalability of market opportunities.

Further membership incentive includes the opportunity and ability to earn additional income by broadcasting....blogging and vlogging...documenting day to day updates as a member of the Steem Golf Ecosystem. (Essentially this opens up and taps in to a whole other market which is Social Media Reporting....News Broadcasting.

Looking at this structure as a sort of Result Model Structure. With this in mind there's a whole variety of opportunities to be a part of a world class network. Maybe you are interesting in food in some way...growing or preparing. Maybe you are interested in social media. Maybe you are interested in other recreational activities that can be tied into the resort style approach.

Another perk of Membership would be the opportunity to earn funds playing in tournaments. The tournaments would be of a unique structure. Played according to handicap and net score. Meaning it would be basically equal...or as close to equal as we can get for anyone to compete against anyone. This creates an opportunity for anyone is interested in playing golf to earn a living doing so. The idea here - is that an economy can be grown to operate at a substantial level of scale and have a level of harmony where the entirety of the ecosystem can be described as a win/win.

I'm in the early stages of hatching out this "thing" - Steem World Golf Tour. (maybe there's a better word play for the name. )

I will continue writing out my initial ideas and thinking here as a way to open up and encourage community participation and creative collaboration.

Massive potential in structuring a solid plan and cementing it in writing.
