Ether in Pending Limbo: Thanks Coinbase
So last night about 8:00 I decided to buy some Steem by way of Ether on Coinbase. Apparently the internet gods of fortune raised their hands and said that it was not to be. Coinbase took my money of course, then deposited the ether in my wallet in the normal fashion (so far so good I thought with hubris that should have told me the exchange was to be ill-fate). And so it was to be, when it came to the crucial final leg of our journey, the actual act of sending the ether to blocktrades to pay for my steem I had ordered, I was placed in a coinbase pending purgatory where I have remained for the last 17 hours and counting. I am new to this but crypto currency thing, but come on that can't be acceptable... right??
So here I wait steemless. The worst part is that it looks like I could have got my monies worth and more given the freefall of crypto currencies last nigt and today. At this point I would be happy just to get back my ether and ride it out.
Anyone else in pending limbo \ purgatory with me? Please tell me I am not alone!

about 10 days ago I was doing a steem to eth transaction and I freaked out after 28 hours of nothing happening. it worked out for me though.
idk if you pay attention to the dollar vigilante but him and multiple accounts keep reporting nothing but bad news for coinbase! idk what ill do if the irs shuts down coinbase
do you know how much of a cut blocktrades takes ?
The last time I checked they were charging about 3% in fees.

I know right! I can't even get my app coinbase app to open anymore on my phone. Something tells me that aren't reinvesting the fees the keep charging me in the right places.
Yeah I think companies that boom quick, they are obsessed with the profits and don't reinvest in their own business. I made that mistake for awhile myself!

That is good advise @mikimike ... I wish I could tell it to my past self about 17 hours ago. they say that they are still trying to work things out (not really sure what that means) It should be as simple as cancelling my transaction and putting the ether back in my wallet or sending it to where it was supposed to go
I believe this is just a wave. Ride it out. Plus there was a hoax going aroung that the founder of Ether was killed. Just a hoax!
It is crazy that people think that hoax's like that are funny. I have little choice but to ride it out but I am keeping my fingers crossed for a positive outcome. Thanks for your comment.
