Takengon is often known as the "cold city". The air is cool and located in the Gayo highlands. Takengon City itself is the capital of Central Aceh Regency. In this area, there are many tourist destinations, one of which is Lake Lut Tawar. The lake, which is often visited by tourists, has an area of 5,472 hectares with a length of 17 kilometers (KM) and a width of 3,129 KM. It is called Lake Lut Tawar because the water is fresh and the area is quite large.
