STEEM - Support Community, Decentralization, and (Y)Our Witnesses!
STAND UP FOR YOUR STEEM!
What many of us love here in the STEEM community is that of COMMUNITY! Great to see the strong support of such at this time. Please continue to support your witnesses and explore more decentralization. Many challenges have come and gone with decentralization and some forms of centralization as these provide efficiency. So there is some level of balance that is wanted/needed.
Thank you to the witnesses and developers!
Big thank you to what everyone has done in the community to get us to where we are now. Have had the pleasure of meeting and working with many within the STEEM community over the past few years. Sorry about the quietness / M.I.A. (Missing in action). Part is due to M.I.(A.) Mental Illness. Looking to support in part Mental Illness Awareness in part because of this. Also working on some things but have had some struggles. More on all that in due time. Will be taking care of things in time as I have stated. (back to STEEM..)
Had been asked to help with solutions to change things having many discussions with many great people in the our community. Haven't seen the right opportunities as such. This may be a time for such potentially. Or just let things run their course.
STEEM may only get stronger
Challenges make us stronger. Crazy things and times have come and gone before and will gain as we live in a crazy world.

Witnesses meeting with Tron Representative Roy Liu (Full Recording + Context) by @ausbitbank
Recording on 3speak:
Youtube version:
*Short summary from / credit to: @ura-soul
The short summary is:
- @ned failed to disclose to @justinsunsteemit that the Ninja mined stake had been earmarked for community development and was not to be used for witness voting prior to selling it to him. Evidence of this was requested by the TRON team.
- The TRON team said they were flexible with regards retracting their false and slanderous accusation that the consensus witnesses were malicious 'Hackers' - but failed to provide a guarantee that they would publish a retraction at this time.
- The TRON team claimed their aim is to profit from the purchase, rather than to participate in governance.
- The TRON team claimed they want to cancel their witness votes asap.
- They TRON team intends to put a fork in place to allow the exchanges to power down the stake they powered up in order to vote for witnesses with their clients' tokens. The witnesses generally highlighted that this was not agreeable and that the fallout from the actions taken by these exchanges needs to be handled by the exchanges and should not be accommodated by a hard fork.
- The TRON team have limited understanding of the fine points of the block chain governance system in general.
Justin Sun appeals to the Korean community for votes
Justin started trying to buy the votes of the korean community by saying he will implement any changes they want, as long as they vote in his witnesses. J came for a short discussion full of happy platitudes, vague hype and claimed he would do anything they want if they just vote for steemits puppet government and let them rush through a hardfork on their own. He left eventually, seemingly to go to bed.

Decentralized Exchanges: The Key To Moving Forward by @taskmaster4450
Surely one of my favorite points that I have tried to stress for year in many ways. But we were and still are not able to in some ways as we grow and learn in this direction (of (more) decentralization).
