steemit is a pretty much closed system when it comes to buzz and hype. Steemians don't bother with other social media outlets very much. They don't see any clear reasons. So STEEM is bound to lag behind. But anyone who gets in will instantly realize that blogger is dead and reddit is obsolete.
All I hope is to have more quality newcomers that can negate the effects of spammers and plagiarists.
Yeah, that's a good point. Once you start hanging out on Steem and earn money for it, why bother to return to Reddit or Facebook to talk about it? Most of us forget about those websites once we start getting paid here :)
