The key to becoming an interesting person and avoid boredom altogether is by taking control of the conversation. You should speak about things that interests people the most. However this could differ from group to group. Speak about interesting topics such as movies sports,politics, taboos, etc. This will definitely help you make a good impression and save you from become a bore. However, make sure you have researched carefully before speaking. You don’t want to give away false information and get caught in the end. Use your words carefully, refrain from speaking excessively and the rest will be taken care of.

Travel so you can tell them stories about it-
Traveling broadens your perspective on life and gives you interesting stories to tell others. Even if you're just going to the next state over, traveling somewhere always gives you interesting stories to tell rather than boring stories from the sames places you always go.

Be spontaneous-
Things like TV and mindless Internet surfing eat up huge chunks of your time. They give you an excuse to be lazy instead of spontaneous. When you don’t rely on these crutches, it becomes much easier to act more carefree.
