CONTENTS ARE THE ASSETS OF STEEM - My First blog via @Steem-bounty + Benefactor Rewards for Amazing Communities on STEEM
It was quite an engaging "duel" with a friend while trying to tell him about #STEEM and why he should integrate his teaching career to #steem. Being a loyal blogger on facebook, he tried to poor countless though "intangible" reasons why his social facebook page with many followership and million cummulative likes is best for him. After much ado, he finally questioned me thus:
Friend: Would you tell me what makes STEEM platform unique from other social blogging?
Me: You are an Asset to STEEM, Your CONTENT is an asset to STEEM
Friend: How?
Me: STEEM's beauty is best expressed when you share your CONTENTS. With your CONTENT, others who are entertained/educated by them your content will join STEEM. With this, STEEM appreciates you with Reward Pool of Cryptocurrency.
That conversation between us spurred me to begin my research to put-together a promotional article which could serve as a paper presentation should I be given any opportunity in a Business Summit to tell my audience "THEIR WORTH ON THE #STEEM BLOCKCHAIN".
What is an ASSET?
Coined from Wikipedia definition, an ASSET is anything (tangible or intangible) that can be owned or controlled to produce value and that is held by a company to produce positive economic value. It is a resource with an economic value that a system or company uses to maximize its productivity. Assets are the real life-wire for any business.
STEEM Content
According to the Steem Blue Paper, content creators add value to the network by creating engaging and entertaining pieces that will drive other users to the platform
the users who produce content are adding value to the network by creating material that will drive new users to the platform, as well as keep the existing users engaged and entertained. Source
Indeed, the aesthetics of any internet-based platform is defined by the richness and quality of the content being hosted. The urge to click any link is spiced by how alluring the content of the link was or the beauty of the link images.
The very good deal here is that on the#STEEM platform, users and creators do not just waste their time, intellect, data and other resources to earn baseless likes and "fake" trendiness. Like I emphasized in the tweet below, many social blogging sites have succeeded in draining users' resources with nothing to show off. So bad in a country like Nigeria where most of the free social blogging activeities are carrried out by the unemployed sect.
If all your time spent on social media is to drain your data and earn ordinary likes, then you are the one to join #STEEM. With #steem, your blogs will create value for you!
STEEM platforms do not just enhance your fun-filled social blogging experience, it goes ahead to reward your efforts and resources with cryptocurrencies. More deeper, #STEEM prioritizes content creators and they earn good and mouth watering rewards. SImply put, Content creators and their contents are the assets of #STEEM.

You can become one and begin to share in the joys and attention that Assets truly deserve.

Earlier, while trying to build this post, I stumbled @Theycallmedan';s tweeet about the parket capitalization of facebook and the percentage they share with their users; it made go deeper into research to affirm the truths in his statistics.
Truly, many social platforms are just sucking out value from their users but STEEM adds to their value because #STEEM users are STEEM Assets. Way far below what top notch social blogging platforms are recovering as market capital, STEEM is a leading rewarding platform for sharing benefits with contributors.

TrufflePigI think people are looking at steem and comparing it to traditional social media and not seeing all the money that was pumped into it and all the technical skills aquired to get those sites to be what it is today over a decade. We are expecting too much of steem and we not looking at the small victories and we are moving in the right direction
