If you are new to steem and feel like this site is rigged... guess what? It is, but it is rigged the same for everyone.
Do some homework. Read about how the blockchain works. Get some steempower. Figure out how to build up a following and get involved in the community.
Join some discord channels and talk to groups that share the same interests as you. Get involved in the community. That is where the rewards really come from. Unless you want to try and get noticed by a whale (good luck).
