RE: @cloakcoin Up For Grabs. Bids Starting At 3,5 Steem. Auction Last 7 days

in #steem7 years ago

I thought that it has been done before.
I also remember that I read that in order to restore an account it is enough to know one of its past passwords, and this seems like a vulnerability which can lead to sellers reclaiming control on an account after they sold it.
I did not know that a master password can be changed and I still do not know how.
I do believe you that it is possible, but it leaves my arguments valid.
I did not spread a lie, I asked a question where it is relevant and I wrote what I know about it.

Sort:

In order to restore an account, you need the owners key. Not the past owners key. That's the whole point of creating a new key, so that the old one doesn't work..

A master password can be changed. You just press change password..

You are making claims that are not true. That is the same as lying.

You said this:

Once its master password is known, it can never be safely owned by another person.

That is a FALSE statement, and therefore a lie.
