Steem Will Survive & Rise!
About 1000 new Users get onboarded daily, new projects based on the steem blockchain pop up all the time and some are still doubting its future success? Steem doesn't just have the most transactions, it most likely as well got the highest number of active users and projects.
We are going through a bear cycle okay, but that's really nothing to worry about. The Steem Ecosystem has build a proper base during the last months, which will just continue to grow whenever SMT's go live in the 2nd half of 2018.
Steem is the only social network cryptocurrency with such a big Community and such a high market cap. A more solid ground regarding regulations will bring further movement into the cryptosphere and eventually allow more merchant tools and fiat gateways to open up for steem.
The times ahead of us are more than just exciting. I'm therefore simply convinced that steem will not just survive but rise, it'll rise to the top. Please don't take this a guarantee though and definitely not as investment advise. Do your own research and get excited 😜

@steembusiness the number of project I keep on hearing about daily is revolutionary. The price of STEEM is pretty much undervalued right now . Also, I feel that the speed of development restricts the progress and popularity of the website. I presonally invite 5 users everyday from my network of influences but they all face Sign Up issues. I hope these will resolve soon and everything else goes as fast as the transaction time of STEEM.
Steem Blockchain has the most active community and I must say that this is the future of Social Media. Today I learned about an app @what-app made on Steem Blockchain where you can Ask, Answer and search about other question and answers. Just like Quora. :-D

What I'm concerned about is the complication of filing taxes in the US since there are three different forms of steem and they're awarded as payouts daily at a different price every single day. The Steem power, from my understanding, is the a quasi-equivalent of stock in the company which can be used to earn dividends thru curation and delegation) and since it is awarded, we must pay taxes on the "fair market value" of the SP (much like a company CEO would on company stock awarded to him / her) awarded on any given day.
I get SP payments added dozens of times per day thru curation and earn SBD thru delegation payments to me daily. That in itself will be a nightmare to track and report. I know there's systems in place for extracting this data but to my knowledge one still has to calculate the price of Steem for every single day of the year to determine the "stock" or steem power / vest value awarded and then pay taxes on that, which is taxed at a different rate that just regular old income like the SBD we earn (from what I understand at 5 a.m. before I've had my coffee).
But yeah this bear market doesn't scare me one bit. It's the tax man that does. And there lies an opportunity for programming savvy individuals to automate the calculations and report process into a user friendly program / software for the average joe. I'm a mechanical engineer (but I suck at programming) so I understand the tax side of it but it would take me awhile to figure out what I actually owe. 18 days til we have to pay the man here in the US...TICK TOCK! Bunch of crooks...But they're crooks that can put me in prison through the use of guns, men in body armor, and the court system if they please.

Being a newbie at steem, i am so much confused by people who predict future of steem based on their experiance bcoz at times i c 2 consecutive posts opposite to each other.i enjoy reading without taking anything on heart.
It’s anybody’s guess at this stage. Too early to call. Many decisions in life require a ‘calculated’ gamble of what the future holds. Best of luck to all of us.

Well you are absolutely right. I am 100% that Steem will rise and it is just a feeling. We saw always good and bad days. So lets be patient and wait :)

Price is experiencing a bear market based purely on technicals and market positioning. But the work on actual real projects or real uses has gone to the bhigher still level across the entire market, with Steem leading the way.
I’m still really excited by Steem. Just think about it rationally and stay strong.
