Great buying opportunity or time to panic?

Good day my fellow Steemians!! I just wanted to make a quick post and ask for some opinions from everyone on what is going on with the price of Steem, both recently (within the last week) and over the past few months.

Today, I woke up to see Steem at $1.08 and honestly, my first thoughts are "hell ya, time to grab some Steem on the cheap. Maybe I should set up a test drive for that Lambo since these prices are so good", but not so fast. A bit troubling in my mind, is the price of SBD. The SBD to dollar exchange is $.868 as of the time of posting, and that is worrisome. In my opinion, that number stay around $1 is best for the platform overall although, I'm sure some are seeing this as an opportunity to invest in SBD and make 15% on it going back to $1 and than buying Steem while theoretically receiving 15% more than you could have buying it currently. That is if the price of SBD goes up while Steem itself is still low, otherwise, one could make more money just buying Steem right away.

For me, I still believe in Steem and think this is more of a correction of the crypto market in general. The markets have been on quite the run this year and we were bound to see some sort of correction at some point. I plan to invest a couple hundred dollars this weekend and as much as I can afford to swing over I the near future while the price is, to me, a bargain.

Although I am giving my opinion, please do not hesitate to let me know what you think about the future of Steem in the comments. I'd really like to hear from more experienced users who have seen more price fluctuations in the past. Any input is welcomed.
