Steem Dollar is a virtual currency just like bitcoin. But, USD is a currancy. There is no physical structure of a virtual currancy. Steem Dollars are like that. We can convert the Steem Dollars with the bank or third party website in USD. Sometimes the rate of steem dollars grows more than the USD.
