Finally, after the grueling downtrend that has been lingering on for the past couple of months we see a light at the end of the tunnel. The total crypto market is heading for a good uptrend, with Bitcoin price being 8% higher than it was in the last 7 days, it seems like we are finally getting a break from our coins being dissolved to worthlessness.
But who cares about the top 5 and BTC anymore? Show me the STEEMs and SBDs

It has been devastating watching where the prices of STEEM and SBD were heading to in the past couple of weeks, but waking up today to finally see the greens everywhere brings a huge smile to my face. And I can bet I'm not the only one :)
Don't get me wrong
I don't care that much about the current price of STEEM/SBD as I'm not spending/trading any.But I know a lot of you are in this mindset when if they see STEEM prices tanking they will get discouraged and start producing less content. THAT IS THE SINGLE WORST THING YOU CAN DO!

And I won't spend even a tiny bit of it any time soon. Maybe just invest in projects with ROI like SteemBasicIncome. The SBD I have is mostly used for fueling contest rewards + buying photography equipemnt. I got enough SBD for contests and can wait with the gear until we get another big uptrend for SBD like we had before, when the price went all the way up to 15$ per SBD. I'm a patient guy and I can wait for that a whole year if that is what it takes. And you should be too!
Don't be bothered by the downtrends, appreciate them
Always try to look at it from the bright side. For example, as STEEM was so low teh past couple of weeks we have been getting a ton of SP/STEEM as payouts. Meaning that if you were a good working bee and haven't stopped producing when you seen the price hit the bottomless pit of the downtrend, you were getting A LOT of STEEM/SP.
If you were smart about it and continued writing/producing quality content and kept earning those rewards, you stacked up a decent sum of STEEM in the past couple of months.
I managed to collect allmost 100 STEEM in the past 7 days
Something I could only dream of if STEEM was worth more. For example, when STEEM was at around 5$ I was getting somewhere around 25 STEEM a week. For someone who has no intention of selling any of his SP getting 100 SP a week is insane!
Will this positive trend continue or will the prices tank again?
No one can know for sure, and we can only hope for the best but I'm here to tell you that you should actually be happy when STEEM is low because you are getting way more than you usually would. If you are here for the long run low STEEM prices won't be a problem for you, because we all know how much STEEM is going to be worth in the future, and how underrated it currently is. Don't we?

TBH I would like STEEM to go to 1$ again for a month or two so that we can get as much SP/STEEM as posible. Because, inevitably, te price will go sky high :)
It's great to see some green again! I see your point about not caring too much about the prices, but they do have some nice benefits even for those who are not selling, such as bringing more people to the Steem blockchain.
I completely agree but from an investors pov I think that low prices will always be the best for us as we can invest/earn more. Bringing new people to Steemit is great but getting acouple hundred STEEM easily is better :)
The price will go up and people will come anyway. This way we just have the upper hand of getting the most STEEM we can before it becomes so expensive we will be earning 1 STEEM a week!

I’m on the same page as you. Don’t want to touch my Steem for quite some time. Selling now will be like having sold bitcoin when it was less then a hundred dollar.
Further more I also found the downturn to be a great time to earn Steem.
I wish the downtrend would last more TBH, we all know how much STEEM will be worth in a year or two. Why not get a chance to stack up as much as possible :)
definitely! I like this train of thought and I was actually waiting to buy some just recently because I felt it was getting extremely undervalued. In the near future these kind of buying opportunities will become rare
Yep, sadly I'm poor so I couldn't invest anything but if another chance apears I'll find some cash to throw in the pot.

The crypto market flows like life does, it has up and down and we can't predict when it happens. We just have to look at the downside as a positive thing, because that is when we learn and grow. If we are patient and we trust the journey, we will rise again, as the crypto does, like steem today. Awesome content mate, thanks.

Yep, it's always like that. WHen the price falls people get scared and don't post because they "lose money" while in fact they are losing x10 by not posting at all, or much less than before.
What good news! I'm very happy because my studies and personal things depend on Steemit.
Although receiving more Steem Power, for a little fish like me, is not bad news, I had not despaired of casualties in recent weeks, SP will make me grow in the future.

Yes! Steemit has helped me not have to emigrate from Venezuela and continue with my studies! It has been a great change in my life, so you can see that in my portfolio there is not much compared to whales!
I hope we see upward trends in the coming days and some light. Though even me I do not have a short term vision of my steem funds, so I am ok as of now not worrying much about the price
@nainaztengra I would rather want to see it go lower so that we can earn mroe of it. It will go back up sky high anyway :)
