Found such an abundance of food the last few days that I plan to set up a table in the middle of town giving away free chocolate / coffee bean truffles and coffee drinks / juice while promoting the STEEM blockchain @markwhittam style!^^

Thursdays Weekly Meet-ups:
We meet up on Thursdays in the middle of the city to share the food we've saved during the week. It's a great way to meet, connect and support each other. We meet between 6-7 pm at the same time as the decentralized farmers market that I've initiated!
I've got great plans for 2018 and beyond and intend to work hard to achieve it. The Steem blockchain is the perfect place to create positive change as it rewards individuals that contribute to the community and humanity at large. I am wholeheartedly dedicated to this platform and my intention is to create solutions to our current predicament and unite humankind once and for all
I regularly invite people over to share the abundance which I've been doing for many by now and nowadays I of course take the opportunity to introduce them to the Steem blockchain!^^

From the bottom of my heart, I must say this is the best initiative ever. It breaks my heart when I see food get wasted while others have little or nothing to eat.
I attended a function over the weekend and was pained that while some people were picking at their food, one particular lady who was a gatecrasher wanted some food but was turned down.
It really got me thinking why anyone would refuse someone a plate of food just because he/she is of a lower class. But then, what do I know. More kudos to you for this nice initiative. Acts like this makes me believe that humanity isn't doomed.

There is so much waste of good food. Where millions of people do not even get a piece of bread daily on the other side some people absolutely have no value for the amount of food they get.
Retailers hoard and consumers with heavy pockets don't value :-(
I feel in your country may be there is an excess supply, Have you thought of sending this to countries where there is so much lack of food and basic necessities.
Knowledge will erase all starvation in the coming years... The lack thereof is the reason why people are starving as is, not lack of resources. The change will come from the people not from the extremely centralized system we currently live in. It will be truly amazing to be apart of this transition into a new far more decentralized paradigm, a new golden age of humanity! :)

We try to reduce waste as much a possible at the restaurant. Shocking what retailers do with their excess food stuffs.
it is indeed and they are trying to hide it as well blaming the consumers but they are not gonna get away with it for much longer...
