Should we upvote our own posts? Newbie question

in #steem7 years ago

Quick research reveals:

There is no much difference if you have low voting power, but it's always good to wait with upvoting at least 30 minutes, because of the curation auction system.

Am I right?
Do you auto-upvote?
Please leave a comment :)

This post was auto-upvoted, and as you can see, there is no reward for it as I'm new to steemit platform :)

Have a nice day! Please upvote only if you liked my post

I think it makes sense to upvote some, if not all, of our posts, when we're beginning at SteemIt.

Since we have very few followers, our posts won't be visible to anyone... and every vote helps to give it a little more visibility.

That's the only reason I tend to vote my own posts, at least when my voting power is high (which is not the case today.)

Anyway, I hope I can get enough followers so I can stop upvoting my own posts... and use those votes to help others instead. But from what I see, that might take a while. A long... long... while.
