1. Development Incentive Program Selected Projects
The Community Developer Representatives (CDRs) have now completed their review of all the proposals and suggestions submitted for the $500K Steemit Development Incentive Program.
They have now announced the first four projects that will receive funding from the program...
The selected projects are led by @upvu.witness, @starlord28, @steemstation and @symbionts...
[DIP Proposal] API Endpoint / Templates & Drafts / Loading comments [@upvu.witness - $11,900 budget]
[DIP Proposal] User Safety Additions Along With Other Improvements [@starlord28 - $2,500 budget]
[DIP Proposal] Steem mobile wallet and authentication app [@steemstation - $167,160 budget]
Symbiont{s} | DIP | Delegate & Revoke Delegations [@symbionts - $4,800 budget]
The CDRs (@future.witness (@hightouch), @steemchiller, @justyy, @smt-wherein (@iguazi123) & @dev.supporters (@donekim, @glory7 & @wonsama)) are now finalising the details of milestones, deadlines, team members and budgets with the selected projects.
It is hoped development work will then begin in the next few weeks.
2. SteemPro - new mobile application
@rme has announced the development of a new mobile application for Steem - SteemPro.
The project is being developed under the umbrella of the Bangla Witness. The lead developer is @faisalamin, a moderator in the Beauty of Creativity community.
SteemPro is being created in Typescript using the react-native framework. Keys are handled using react-native-keychain. The application will use @steemchiller's SDS services...
3. Steem Solar in Nigeria
Project Leader @ubongudofot has announced the next solar PV project for World Smile Nigeria.
The new project will include a 3.5KVA, 24V solar PV system, along with 3 desktop computers, for the Government Technical College in Uyo.
The college has no grid electricity and has to use diesel generators when electricity is needed.
The budget for the first phase of the project (excluding the computers) will be around 1.7 million Naira or nearly 9000 STEEM.
@smilenigeria has also published another financial report...
@pennsif.witness is supporting the new World Smile Nigeria solar project through the CommunityAction support program. As part of that this post has a 25% beneficiary set to @smilenigeria.
