60 Minutes of Steem : The 10,000 Minnows Project Brainstorming Session - Thursday 28 February 2019, 8pm - 9pm UTC - MSP Waves
This Thursday sees the launch of 60 Minutes of Steem - a one hour show to discuss current issues on Steem.
Kicking off the series will be a special brainstorming session for The 10,000 Minnows Project.
The number of minnows on Steem, those with between 500 SP and 5000 SP, is struggling to get much beyond 9,200.
To sustain healthy growth on Steem we need the number of minnows (and dolphins) to grow much more rapidly than it is now.
In a recent post long time steemian @steevc put forward the idea of The 10,000 Minnows Project to grow the minnows on Steem.
60 Minutes of Steem will take place on the MSP Waves Discord channel between 8pm and 9pm UTC.
Brainstorming The 10,000 Minnows Project
This first episode of 60 Minutes of Steem is going to be a free-form brainstorming session to come up with ideas, targets and action points to push forward The 10,000 Minnows Project.
Along with @steevc taking part in the brainstorming project will be @carrieallen (Helpie), @jackmiller (witness), @paulag (@steemcommunity witness team), @surfermarly (marketeer), @starkerz (Oracle-D) and @wwf (Friends of Terra Mater).
The session will be hosted by @pennsif along with regular co-host @teamhumble.

The GAME Show
Immediately following 60 Minutes of Steem will be The GAME Show.
This is a new two hour show all about games, gaming, contests and competitions on Steem.
Guests on the first show include @yabapmatt (Steem Monsters), @hightouch (DrugWars), @disregardfiat (DLux / @dlux-sm) and @plantstoplanks (Steemit Fruit and Veggies Monday Competition).

This project is awesome. I am hopeful that one of the methods talked about is making it easier for us to buy Steem without all the hoops involved with going through several exchanges to do so. I wish something could be set up that would match those selling their Steem daily with those wishing to buy. I think we would see a wider distribution if we could bypass the hassles involved currently.
I am really amazed these last few months with the leadership that has emerged since Steemit.inc disclosed they were in financial turmoil. Heroes of the chain are stepping forward, proving that voluntary action can be viable.
I'll be listening to at least part of it, may get a hard time if Im there for all though..., the SBI givaway seemed to go well, but I only have so many places for chops subscriptions without devaluing for the vote for all the existing beneficeries.

I don't normally use an alarm clock but for this I'll 100% use one! Especially since I'm a minnow myself trying to develop my account, but it is a little hard since the bidbots users outshine all the non-bidbot users in the trending page... I'm thinking of getting some sbi shares, at least I could snowball my account much faster, don't really know what is better sbi or leasing. Well regardless of that, good to see the community helping out new people! Glad to have strong community leaders on STEEM!
Did you read the SteemMonsters announcement on the tournaments?
You could host your own tournament and give out GAME tokens to winners and name the tournament after the show for more exposure.
