Blockchain Seminar at Padang State Polytechnic (PNP), Indonesia by Oracle-D
Welcome to the 28th update of Oracle-D Campaign powered by Fundition - A Decentralized Crowdfunding Platform on STEEM Blockchain. We recently did a Blockchain Seminar at Padang State Polytechnic in front of a crowd of 300+ students and lecturers. Let's have a look at what happened and the opportunities we witnessed at the event.

Our first university seminar given at Malikussaleh University was a blast. 200+ students, professors, doctors, engineers, entrepreneurs and content creators from Indonesia were present. After that we did a few meeting with local Steemians and a couple of influential people of the country. When we landed in Padang , we did not know what we were getting into. Padang State Polytechnic is one of the most reputed institutes of the country and their campus is quite huge. We had a very generous welcome by the superb staff and the former Vice Director of the institute Mr. Albar. We quickly went to their office and warmed up with some Blockchain talks. After that we went to the hall where everyone was waiting for us to give the seminar. Please have a look at some pictures:

We were blown away by the enthusiasm shown by the audience at the institute. We started our talk at 9 AM sharp in the morning and we had to close it after 3 hours of long presentation and discussion. Many students showed their interest to join STEEM Blockchain and explore the opportunities that it offers. Thanks to @mariska.lubis for being our official translator on this tour. We couldn't have communicated with the audience very well without her presence.. I hope we could answer most of the questions that were asked to us.
After the event, we were invited to come to the Director of this campus, Mr. Surfa Yondri. We discussed a lot about how important it is to educate students about the latest technology. Inspite of arguments about blockchain technology here and there, but still, we think we should not stop students to learn everything, especially about blockchain technology which is very important in the future.
After the event we all had lunch at Lamun Ombak Restaurant in Padang which is known for its amazing local cuisine. Director of the campus invited us for the dinner as well and guess what we did. We talked about STEEM once again and how blockchain can help us shape the future. Events and meetings like these help us to connect with the world and understand how this technology can be used to solve the real-life problems.
Next meetings were scheduled with very important personalities of the country i.e. Minster of Communication and Information Technology of The Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Rudiantara at his office at 5 pm and with Aspekti’s leaders (Indonesia IT Companies and Consultants Associates ) in Jakarta. Stay tuned for the full update.

This is amazing. I love what you guys @starkerz and @anarcotech are doing. Touching all the premier institutes of Indonesia and imparting knowledge about Blockchain and STEEM. I consider myself lucky to be a part of this revolution. Looking forward to the next update about your meetings with the government officials of the country. All the best guys!
Wonderful report from your amazing work to promote the STEEM blockchain. @starkerz, @anarcotech and the @oracle-d team, I wish to suggest that you prepare a standard curriculum for this purpose, so that others can lay hands on it for similar seminars in other locations.
We are working on this @uyobong! It will take a few weeks, but we will have it online in the near future
@oracle-d, the near future you mentioned sounds like eternity to me. 2 weeks ago I applied for permission to host a seminar in a university in my locality in Nigeria. Have been asked to show the module of the seminar and it's a hectic work for me trying to research on this since I've been a novice to blockchain technology. I wish to suggest again that you open for entry from interested steemians on what a typical blockhain training curriculum would be like, then your team would just select the best for final arrangement and publishing by your team. With this, the task is achievable in 7 days. Give it a consideration.
Give these guys an opportunity to sample local cuisine and talk about STEEM anywhere in the world and they are there in a heartbeat!!
I can't see anyone doing anything like this on the Steem Blockchain - an international tour of Blockchain education and enlightenment. Fantastic! Kudos to the founders and their treasured local support who are navigating them from campus to campus. Well done @mariska.lubis and team on the ground.....
They are doing an excellent job, @starkerz and @anarcotech,@Mariska.Lubis, it has always been said that the one with the information has the power, the blockchain technology must be disseminated to change communities and countries. They are agents of change in the world.
